Thanks so much for your replies. Motrin it is and hopefully they don't use alot of saline for the mock transfer!!

We go for our injection class tomorrow. I am so NOT looking forward to starting Lupron on April 1st. All of the side effects I keep hearing about - Yikes! I'm moody on a regular day!! Poor DH and DS!!

I only did follitism shots so far. If you use ice like 5 minutes before, with the injections it definitely numbs the pain.

Hey ... I was wondering does everyone do a mock transfer?.... I asked my nurse at my last appt when we would do that and she said they don't regularly do those only if they suspect scar tissue or something being in the way she said they very rarely have any trouble with the ET and since they had no trouble doing the catheter for my HSG the didn't need to do one of those. Any one else not having one?

jenn... glad you managed your follistim (kinda)..... after my second night I am sure it is all about controlling your mind..... show those shots who is boss!

I didn't have a mock transfer with my first ivf and even though it wasn't a BFP for us the ET was the easiet part of the whole cycle. No pain and I was able to watch where the embies went on an U/s screen.

im the boss ...im the boss...lol one day this week im goin to take side to side pix of the needles i pierce with ... i dont even flinch with clients ....and the oh s0 tiny micro needle i poke my belly wit .....it a hoot...

I was just telling my husband last night I had my tongue done twice when I was younger and never thought a thing about it what are those like 18 or 16 gauge.... these needles are like 28 gauge and I want this way more than I wanted my tongue pierced

Hello Ladies,

I had my b/w and u/s today and my levels look good FINALLY!! They said I can start taking my estrace pills on Wednesday 3/26 and go back Friday 4/4 for u/s to see how my lining's doing. I am so happy to be moving forward!

The only time I get headaches with my lupron was when I mixed caffeine in the mix. Real bad headaches! I stopped drinking the soda and now it got better. I tried staying off caffeine forever and the one time I had a soda was like a dominoe effect I had three more after that .......on the lupron which gave me the bad headaches. After that I was okay. I've been real lucky with no side effects on the meds. (knock on wood)

well just wanted to update you ladies! APRIL HERE WE COME!!!!

JerseyJ&J...It sounds like the needle(s) might be dull. Switch the needle out after you draw up the medication because drawing up the medicine dulls the tip of the needle.

Also, IIRC you should be using a smaller gauge needle to inject than you do to mix.

My RE told me that every one of his patients gets one--that's his standard. BUT, I have also heard of a few girls on this board who have not had one. So I would not be worried. I guess every RE just has their own protocol and methodology (shocking... LOL!) If you really want one, I'm sure they will go ahead and do it for you...

Yikes! Tongue piercing ... *shudders* Maybe it was because you didn't have to do the piercing, though?

Congrats on moving forward!

I've been able to avoid the Lupron headache, mostly, but maybe it helps that I don't drink anything with caffiene.
