PS>
my husband and I really like the name "Isabel" for a girl. It's such a pretty name! FYI.....

That's so great!! We will be due date buddies There are a couple other girls on this thread that will be joining us too!! I have 4 frozen, but my RE said they only have about a 50-60% thawing survival rate...argh... So I will implant as many as I can! LOL... If a miracle happens and 3 make it through the thaw, I will probably push to have all 3 put back in since FET already has a lower success rate. You know? I'll take all the chances I can get!! So I'm praying for 3! What about you?

Thanks for the compliment on the name I hated it as a little girl because it was such a rare name back then, but it grew on me, and now it seems to be really popular!

We currently have 8 frozen and I wanted to transfer three because of the success rates.....but my husband is scared of triplets..... He said since we did get pregnant the first round that two will be good. HE BETTER BE RIGHT! He is very optimistic and feels like it will work this time. I it does. I don't know how I will be if we lose another one or get a Think Positive is all I keep telling myself and it's really hard to do sometimes.....

I am glad I have you ladies here for support!!
Thinking positive...

Thank you for answering all my questions

I want to thank all of you for sharing your decisions you have made on the number of eggs you are chosing to implant, whether or not you are going to do genetic testing, and gender selection. Hopeful07, irena_alder, amy2244, tracilynn, j-lyn, isabelamina, and prayingforbabies you all were so sweet to share your decisions with me. I am having a tough time making some of the same decisions myself and was curious what other ladies are deciding and why. Thanks again for your insight.

Hi Julie, I go to the same clinic. My doctor is Dr. Murray. He did my endometriosis surgery last year and then my husband and I took a year off to try to conceive naturally (that is what my husband needed to agree to IVF). So I patiently waited a year, we had one short lived pregnancy of only a week (it was a late implantation and did not have a chance). So we are starting our first IVF cycle as soon as AF arrives, which we expect this weekend.

Best wishes,
Kayla

Welcome Tweedy, Sarae, and Jen12 (and other newbies I forgot)! What is a PESA? I've never heard of that.

Marcia9043...I did not have a mock transfer. My RE does not do them. However, I wish they did because my ET was horrendous. My uterus is tilted and it took them forever to find out where to put the embies. All the while I felt like my bladder was going to explode at any moment and I only drank 1/2 of the amount of water they told me to drink (I have the bladder a size of a pea....). sorry TMI...

Tisha..that's strange that caffeine made your headaches worse because caffeine is used to treat headaches. Hope your headache goes away soon.

Any one else not having one?

jenn... glad you managed your follistim (kinda)..... after my second night I am sure it is all about controlling your mind..... show those shots who is boss!

for my 1st IVF, they did the mock transfer the same day of the ET

Tweedy23, Sarae, Jen12 and other special ladies! Hope all of us get our BFPs soon!
Tweedy and Jen, You will be doing PESA the day of ER? Or is it going to be done a few days prior? My DH has obstructive azoospermia and we will be doing PESA/TESA on ER day. You are welcome to join the Azoospermia thread under causes of infertility/male factor infertility.
Amy, PESA is percutaneous sperm aspiration. A procedure done when there is no sperm in the ejaculate (azoospermia) They take sperm directly from the testes or the epidydimis. Yes, some of us have this added male fertility complication also
Hi to all my lovely April bunnies Cathy, Nikki, Jenn,Amy Irena, Janice,Isabel, Traci, Evy, Jana and others I have missed!!

Morning April/May Bunnies!

Looks like we are all moving along at a "rapid" rate.

Jersey (Jenn) - your description had me laughing. I remember the 1st time I had to give myself the injections (in previous IUI's) - I remember sweating and yelling at DH but in retrospect those were the easiest things to give.

Well ladies, I had my screening u/s this morning and now I am nervous. They found 2 complex masses (1 on r ovary and 1 on left). They need to start to see if they will go away (although, one has been there for a while so they are not concerned about that one). So I go back on Friday so please that removes the one mass so I can move forward. The nurse (my favorite) seems to think that everything will be fine. So as it stands, I begin STIMS on Monday. YIPPEE!

Well I hope everyone continues to have a wonderful Tuesday. 1 week until April 1st!

Hello fellow April Bunnies (feel like we are at a Playboy convention or something...)

Anyway, Sorry the Lupron Ladies are battling with the headaches I just got my Lupron in today - fedex. Woohoo! It says to store under 77, I was just wondering if you gals put it in the fridge or left it out at room temp?

I was also wondering while on the Lupron with the massive headaches can you take something for the headaches? or are you just being cautious and avoiding all meds? or does medecine not work for the headaches? I *always* have headaches and have migraines too so I'm sure the Lupron is gonna kill me

I go to injection training tomorrow - yippee! I start my lupron in 4 more days. Ive been preparing DH for all the side effects ahead of time. I hope I don't get the insomnia part of it. I'll just have to tell myself that all the nasty symptoms means that it's working and my BFP will come shortly!

all the new ladies!

Traci, I keep my Lupron in a cooler. My house is starting to warm up so I don't want to risk leaving it out. As for the headaches - I haven't gotten them as bad as the insomnia so I haven't needed to take medicine for it.

Masses? Are they leftover cysts? I always have one on my right ovary seems like. I'll pray AF takes care of the new one and the old one! I'd say if the nurses think it'll be fine, it will. Those nurses see alot and know their stuff.
