YEP. I had a big follicle while on BCP but my b/w and u/s showed it to be diminishing (although it's still about 18??) and the b/w was okay. I still don't like the fact that it is always hanging around in there. I have been spotting for about a week (light period?) and now it seems to be subsiding - so I'm wondering if my body is going to start gearing up to make follicles again and mess up my cycle - argh! It's like I'm on BCP yet my body is going through the normal motions

it's always something, isn't it?
it all works out for us

Tweedy and Jen, You will be doing PESA the day of ER? Or is it going to be done a few days prior? My DH has obstructive azoospermia and we will be doing PESA/TESA on ER day. You are welcome to join the Azoospermia thread under causes of infertility/male factor infertility.
Amy, PESA is percutaneous sperm aspiration. A procedure done when there is no sperm in the ejaculate (azoospermia) They take sperm directly from the testes or the epidydimis. Yes, some of us have this added male fertility complication also
Hi to all my lovely April bunnies Cathy, Nikki, Jenn,Amy Irena, Janice,Isabel, Traci, Evy, Jana and others I have missed!!

Hi Ritu!
Although my DH does not have azoospermia, I find it so fascinating! ACTUALLY, DH is a Urologist!! And he often works at a fertility clinic here seeing men having problems! He is thinking about doing a fellowship next year to specialize in Male Infertility and I am definitely encouraging it after seeing so many women on here who suffer from MFI.... Good luck ladies!!

Thanks Traci. The nurses told me that they can always check blood work to see if they are doing something weird. I just don't want anything messing this cycle up. UUUGGGGHHH! I go back on Friday to make sure everything is okay.

Isabel - that must be exciting to have a DH as a urologist. My DH has seen his fair share after having 2 VR's done in the last 3 years.

I spoke too soon! *moan* This headache is brutal ...
Irena_Adler-I feel your pain. Yesterday I had an AWFUL headache. I was in a bad mood all day with the pounding headache. I don't take anything for the pain. I am just afraid it will mess up my meds.

Is one of Lupron's side effects mood swings? I was so mad at my DH all day for NOTHING. I want to blame it on the Lupron, but I am also pretty moody.

Tracilynn-I leave my Lupron on my bedside table. I live by the beach though, so the temp usually stays pretty cool.

Has anyone been having a little bleeding while on Lupron? I do and I just want to see if it's normal.

I think I'm going to look into a meditation CD for IVF and some good books to check out at the library today. I decided to take the week after my ET off of work so I need to keep busy. What I really want to do is go to a small island where they feed me fresh fruits and virgin pina coladas while I lay on the beach, but my DH can't get off work and I need him to do my huge shots. So, I get to stay at home. Need to keep busy...

Traci-- I felt icky the first couple days on Lupron, but after that, all the side effects went away. I never experienced the sleeplessness... If anything, I am way more sleepy! LOL... Good luck with the injections!

Nikki--I am praying that shows up and takes those naught masses away!! I have faith that eveything will go smoothly for you

Hey girl! I've had no bleeding... do you mean bleeding at the injection sight or menstrual type bleeding? Either way, I haven't had any...

SOOO... I have an idea. I REALLY loved your thought on "going go to a small island where they feed me fresh fruits and virgin pina coladas while I lay on the beach"... who need our DHs??? Us girls should get together and go to some secluded island and we can just just give each other the shots!! Of course, we will need to have servant boys (hot ones) on the island to feed us the fresh fruit and serve us virgin daiquiris!!! With little umbrellas!

LittleLadySky-Good to know! Thank you for sharing that. I was getting a little scared like my Lupron wasn't working, so that's good to know.

Isabela-Brilliant insight. I am in! We will be the ideal shot givers because we will know what it's like to be on the other end. I could take a daquiri, pina colada, or a lava flow, or else one of each every hour. I can definitely get used to having our servants around. I'll even bring the little umbrellas.

So, as for the location...there has got to be someone in this business..they could call it IVF Island and market it to all the 2week waiters. They'd have kiosks constantly on FertilityCommunity.com where we'd log in to check up on the status on our fellow April buddies who couldn't make it.

I can leave in April.

Hopeful07 - I hope that the nurse is correct (she probably is) and your masses clear out. I have two cysts that I hope will clear up by my u/s on Thursday, so I know how you feel. AF is supposed to start any day now - I stopped BCP on Friday, so maybe AF will help clear up my cysts.

Tracilynn - I keep my Lupron in the fridge. I thought mine listed a lower temp number than that. I did find that Advil helped my headache, thankfully.

Prayingforbabies - Mood swings are definitely one of the side-effects of Lupron. Plus, I have to think they're one of the natural side-effects of going through the IVF process!

isabelamina - Oo, I'm in! Bring on the pool boys!

How could that possibly be offtopic? You're welcome here! It's great to see someone that IVF has already worked for! And on the first try!!

Lupron is actually a suppressor, the opposite of follistm which is a stimulator. Since you're a slow responder, you may not need it, but it's used to 'clear the slate' and give the control of the cycle to the docs.
