Would love for you all to come on over! I live in Santa Monica. You're all welcome to stay in my one bedroom apartment. I have a big red sharps disposal box and plenty of alcohol pads for all of you! (BYON=Bring Your Own Needles)

We should start a list of what we want on IVF Island. I'll get it started:
1. A free, unlimited HPT Dispenser in each bathroom stall. (Just in case we don't like the results we get the first poas, we can test until we do!)

2. Fresh bowls of pineapple daily delivered to your cabana (gotta help with implantation!)

3. Mandatory calls from our RE asking how we are doing each day. (Got to make this one mandatory for our RE's cause otherwise mine would never call!)

Any other essentials?

Hi all

My big AZZ box of meds came today. I thought last cycle was bad holy crap this is totally overwhelming. i know I will be fine but with everything going on for me right now all i did was take the oviridil out of the cold pack and put it in the fridge and the rest is still sitting in the box. I'll go through and organize later.

I got my box of hormones today too!! Holy cow. It is overwhelming. Injection class tomorrow. I am hoping that I can remember everything. A little nervous. DH will be out of town entire time I am stimming!!

My DH was out of town for some of the time during my first IVF. I rather give myself the injections. A few years ago when we did stims and BBS he thought he'd be funny and slap my AZZ then give me the shot. Well I was laughing and he was laughing and the shot wiggled in it was god awful !!

Good luck at class and remember we are also on the forum for moral support.

Thank you for the welcome!! I got busy with my son's birthday party ( he turned four) My husband and I tried for a year before we conceived him naturally and now we have been TTC for 2 and half years. I had a miscarriage after IUI #1 six months ago, since then we have done 4 IUI's and now IVF.
thank you for adding me to the list I start the scary lupron on 3/29/2008 then follistim and Menopurr on 04/09/2008 estimated retrieval 04/21/2008 estimated transfer 04/26/2008. We pay out of the pocket for the 3ivf plan ($20,000) .
I do not know what to think!

Rana- I totally get the house or baby thing. The day RE said IVF was the day we closed on our house!! Nothing like a mortgage and baby loan!! We "GO BIG"..all or nothing.

Well, how do these dh's get out of town for the hormone hell? Mine left today to go offshore and won't be back until right before er! HE thinks it's divine intervention! I started lupron injections last night! Not really much to it, but i was very tired today! I don't know if that had anythng to do with it! :-)... We are EXCITED to get this ball rolling!

He gets to miss all the fun (not). My DH will probably want to join your DH offshore after I start my meds b/c I will start to like like this >>>

I'm glad the Lup has just made you sleepy so far - everyone keeps talking about the bad headaches and insomnia - maybe you will be able to escape that.

when I was stimming on previous IUI cycles I had CRAZY vivid dreams too. I think it's the hormones and the stress combined. I had one dream that I was pregnant and went into labor and I had a litter of kittens!

WTH? Those dreams often continued into my 2WW.
