Monkey. My FSH without taking BCP is normally 9-11 range and while on BCP it lowered to 3.7 - but that is only while on BCP - it will go back up once you get off of them. Good luck with your b/w tomorrow!

I'm in the same boat- I plan on doing all the shots myself instead of the IM ones- My DH hopefully will not faint or tremble....we shall see..is it even possible to give yourself one? If you had to do it yourself, I am guessing it would be in the thigh?? Hopefully I will not get to find out!

yes it's crazy, huh? I check in on her blog every couple of days. She said if she tries selective reduction (of the id twins) the chance of losing the entire pregnancy is just as great as carrying them all I believe... if I read it correctly.

I just wonder what happened or what she did differently (if anything ) to get all 4 to stick after having 7 failed IVFs. Maybe it was Turkey?

Monkey - My FSH has been up and down. I had a 7 then a 18 then back down to a 10. This will be my first IVF cycle.

I do all my injections now. In the beginning I had DH do them. After I was finally able to muster the courage to give myself the first one I just kept doing my own.

Hi Traci - I just noticed in your sig that you went to injection training..my DH is going with me to that. Can you tell me what they make you do? Do they actually have you do a real IM injection?

I haven't done an IM shot yet. I don't think I could give myself one of those. I'll make DH do that. I have heard the thigh hurts. I don't think I have any IM shots - all mine are sub-q and I'm doing endometrin for the progesterone so no PIO shots for me. I think there is a youtube video of a lady giving herself an IM shot in the butt.

we were at a NASCAR race and they had a backdrop with a race. I forced my DH to sit with me to get our picture. I do not have many of us together.
I love NASCAR kind of a geek when it comes right down to it. We go every september leave on Thursday with our camper and limp back home Monday. The only time I really drink is that weekend. i have some crazy pictures from last year but don't dare use those as my avatar

boy if I were really mean I could make up some big story about how you have to give each other IM injections in your injection class

No, my DH didn't even go with me. She showed me how to do it and I will just have to show him how to give me the shot. Basically pick a butt cheek and draw an imaginary circle with 4 quadrants and the shot goes in the upper outer quadrant, stretch the skin out so the skin is tight, dart the needle in, inject and count to 3.

I did all my IM in my thigh ask for the numbing gel it helped me. Oh I finally figured out do not draw the meds with the same needle you inject yourself with the needle is dull and dosne't go in all that great.

Actually most of the inj class was about how to mix the drugs, some of them require you to add saline solution and how to use the follistim pen, I'm actually injecting my follistim into my menopur so I only have to do 1 shot instead of 2.

That is how they have me to the bravelle and menopur so I only have one injection. It is like a science experiment every night. I look at my box and can't wait to get going again. 11 more days and I start the patch and wait for AF. Though I do get to start garnilix on April 9th.
I have all sub q injections again thank god.

If she reduces, though, and keeps the pregnancy, the remaining kids will be a lot healthier. What a tough decision.
