So they gave me these forms to fill today. They were about the PESA/TESA they will do on my DH. Basically they want to know what options they have IF they fail to find any sperm. That made me super upset! I am not ready for donor sperm (yet). So i just ticked the 'donate the oocytes to a needy couple' option!!!
Maybe its all the extra hormones coursing through my blood (it feels opposite though! my blood coursing through all the #@$# medicines in my veins!!) but I swing from happy to depressed in nano seconds!! Anyone have weird reactions to these basic IVF forms??

Ritu - that is my life these days. DH and I got into a shouting match the other night which resulted in me sleeping in another room. I told him in the beginning to blame it on the hormones but good gracious, I go from happy - sad - pi$$ed in a NANO second. Just imagine when we get , it will be worse!

First of all, they are gonna find sperm -Ive heard nothing but good things from people who performed the PESA/TESA procedures but why do they need to include the part about not finding any sperm in that paperwork? Do they have to perform it right before your ER? Can you choose to freeze your own oocytes instead of donating them? I think it takes a long while to come to grips with DE and DS and seeing it on a piece of IVF paper is not going to help you in any way.

I had my Day 8 stimms b/w and u/s today (I somehow lost track of my days) and things are going ok, but feeling kinda slow. I had 14 decent sized follies and 6-7 small ones. I go back for the same b/w and u/s on Sunday. Feeling a bit disappointed because I was really hoping to trigger on Sunday, but the RE is saying 2 or 3 more days of stimms. I only have meds for 4 more! I have to remind myself that my RE wanted to be cautious with my med types and dosages because I reacted so poorly to chlomid.

Oh, and when I said that I don't have many side-effects from the stimms, I forgot to mention teary-eyed-ness, mood swings and generally feeling unmotivated - though that last one might be my usual procrastination.

Maybe when you go back on sunday you'll be pleasantly surprised. Those smaller ones will probably grow a good bit over the next few days. Don't get down yet! It takes a little time to grow high quality perfect eggies! I remember getting teary eyed on my last injectible cycle too - I was driving down the road and saw a schoolbus and started crying. hang in there - you are so close!

Irena, Patience will get you everywhere! I am sure you will get a great follicle report by Sunday. You have a very good number already!
As for teary eyed...I dont know how my train of thought works, but I get emotional seeing anything from stuffed toys to housing adverts to Animal Planet for Gods sake!!
