Hey Jen,
Are you having any symptoms of OHSS since you also have PCOS and had a lot of eggs retrieved? Just curious how you're feeling. My RE was saying that they plan on giving me albumin tomorrow thru the IV, did they do that for you too?

Yes it was. I'm shocked because I had my face in a pillow telling DH to hurry up, when he shocked me by saying he was already done . I didn't believe him until I looked behind me and saw the small spot of blood where the needle had went in.

Kelly,

No I haven't had any OHSS and luckily throughout all my cycles, never had. My levels got to around 2400 so I guess it wasn't too high. I haven't heard of albumin. What is that? The 2ww is starting to get to me already. I am going stir crazy and starting to get very emotional. One minute I am super positive that everything worked and the next I am doubting everything. The 2ww for me is the worst part of the whole cycle. I am going to probably POAS either Friday or Saturday. I have been feeling slightly crampy off/on and today have had some pressure/pulling in the lower abdomen. I am just praying that it is implantation. I watched the movie "The Waterhorse" today and was crying by the end. lol I felt so silly. lol I even cried at a stupid commercial today. These meds are horrible!

OK Ladies...I just took my first lupron shot. We are officially on our way now! I'm itchy at the injection site...is that pretty normal? Also, we realized that our lupron bottle is only about 1/3 of the way full...it came in a "2-week kit", but it really doesn't look like it possibly be enough for 2 weeks! For you other lupron ladies...Does that sound right?

Thanks!

Hi girls!
I was originally in the March IVF group but got sick & we had to cancel the day before ER. I didn't want to get too depressed so I've mostly avoided thinking about IVF until I knew we could try again, and we're finally ready to give it another go. I start my Lupron today and our estimated retrieval date will be sometime the last week of May. I'm excited to get to know everyone again. Good luck to those if you already in the thick of it this month!

AdsGirl, the Lupron will last - I had the same thought when I saw my bottle in March and not only did it last the whole cycle, but I still have some of it left in my fridge (my nurse also warned me before I started taking it that it would appear to be not enough.)

Adsgirl Our Lupron bottle in the 2 w kit was 1/3 ish full also so I wouldn't worry.

Jennifer (Giggles) I can't believe you only have a week until testing. Keeping you in my prayers.

girlymech I hope my dh does as well. He's done great with the little Lupron shots. I even asked him whether he put the needle in all the way - it didn't feel like it. You should be good to go with the progesterone shots if you are taking them.

Question 2 questions

Question: Does everyone doing IVF have to take progesterone shots? I spoke with a friend whodid IVF 6 years ago (and had triplets) and she said she just did suppositories but I wasn't sure whether they are doing something different now or what...

Also has anyone heard that there is an increased risk of identicle twins with the 5 day transfer?
