Hopefulmama,
My RE told me that I will have to take progesterone shots.. She said there is a new pill on the market that probably works as well but it hasn't proven itself enough for her. I think she said if everything's going well and I am pregnant, that I might be able to switch to the pills at some point rather than continuing the shots the entire first 10 weeks. When I did my IUI cycles I was always just on the suppositories. My theory is that since you are spending so much money on IVF and it is such a big step, they don't want to take any chances.

girlymech I hope my dh does as well. He's done great with the little Lupron shots. I even asked him whether he put the needle in all the way - it didn't feel like it. You should be good to go with the progesterone shots if you are taking them.

I know! I am so excited! The week is going to drag though. I am just hoping not to lose my mind during this 2ww!

Has anyone started noticing bloating and feeling like they can feel their little eggies growing after only 2 days of stims? I walked on our treadmill today because I have already gained 10 lbs (no more comfort food for me) and I could feel some discomfort.

I'm going to start packing tomorrow for our big trip to Colorado. I can't wait to get there! We leave Wednesday.

Also has anyone heard that there is an increased risk of identicle twins with the 5 day transfer?

1. I had the choice between PIO shots, Crione gel, and endometrium tablets. After much thought-input from the forum- I had a thread about this a few weeks back, and talking to RE nurse- I went with PIO. She said they really aren't that bad, and that they see less spotting on the PIO shots. And, since we're self pay, they were cheaper.

Don't know about the second question, but interested to find out!

My RE says that he thinks the suppositories are just as good as the shots so he recommends the suppositories so you are on one less shot. I like the idea of less shots--especially less IM shots!!!

Ladies, today I took my gonal-f shot today and some leaked out. I took another 150iu just in case. Was that crazy??? Has this ever happened to anyone.

Some leakage is normal. What dosage are you normally on? I wouldn't do more if a little leaked out.

I'm on 225iu. I had planned on calling the RN on monday morning and asking if I needed to take a little more on Monday.

Well my Dr appt with the gastro doc is at 3PM. I'm counting the hours hoping he will tell me something good like they can test me while on the Lupron and if everything looks OK they won't delay the cycle

congrats on starting Lupron! My lupron shots always left a bump with redness all around that itched like crazy. It looked (and felt) like a mosquito bite. I thought the same thing about the bottle but I was on 20 units of Lupron for 10 days and now that I am stimming, have dropped to 5 units a day and I still haven't gotten through one bottle. So don't worry, it will be plenty.

I haven't started stims yet, haven't even started Lupron LOL but you ladies have been so informative that I started slacking off on the comfort food and went back to walking/jogging last night. I'm already heavier then I was when I had my first 13 1/2 years ago....I am actually heavier then when I delivered him!!! so I definitely don't need to gain all that weight with stims LOL Wonder if it comes off after you quit stimming though? I'm going to have to invest in some stretchy clothing I guess to get me through that week LOL
