So nice to connect with a fellow runner! I am not serious or anything (more of a jogger), but I do thrive from the endorphins it provides. I am doing walking too - I kind of dropped off a little once I started getting sore before ER, but once I get my ( ) plan to start walking further again. It just feels so good.

I usually try to clock in around 2 miles per day that's not counting walking around our neighborhood when my 3 year old son is riding his powerwheels truck which runs way faster than I can walk. I have also tried to alter my diet or calorie intake. I too have gained some weight from the fertility treatments and that in and of itself is a little depressing. I too keep saying to myself if I get pregnant we will worry about it after that. Sometimes that helps other times not so much. I too am interested in others thoughts.

Congrats - you are almost there! I think it's great you have planned a night away - will be thinking of you both and your son. I have feared DH being able to do his sample before - I always ask, do you need any fresh reading material? (evidently they don't have great stuff at my RE) But for some reason, I think the majority of men have no problem with this. I was shocked when minutes later, my DH came strolling back into the ER prep area and announced he was all done! Wish our end of the deal was that zippy and pleasant!

My DH and I are going to have go stay in the city the night before because our RE office is 1 hour away and they want the sample there under an hour. My mom is coming to stay with our 3 year old son. I have never left him over night before so this will be emotional not to mention the whole ER thing. I have been having paranoid fears that DH couldn't perform and we can't get a sample. Anyone else experience this? I think the 2ww is going to kill me. Anyhow, that's my update. Did someone say rice krispie treats? I had some yesterday.

Yay! That is good news you can stick with your IVF protocol. I hope your testing goes well, and is something minor (or nothing) they can easily address without any interruption to IVF. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Karla At my RE's they put me on BCPs for 10 days (which the nurse told me is the standard time there) and then I take it for 5 more days with Lupron and then Lupron alone for 5 days (so bcps for a total of 15 days). The BCP/ Lupron overlap is so that you are covered until the Lupron kicks in fully.

Well I went to the liver doc and had b/w done - results should be back tomorrow. I have a u/s of my liver scheduled for wed and an upper endoscopic u/s for Thursday. The good news is he seemed to think this was precautionary b/c of the upcoming IVF and I can stay on the IVF meds unless something comes up. He did say I might have an ulcer but given some of the alternatives that isn't too bad.

Hi girls!
The ER today went pretty good! Everyone was so competent and nice. I have 24 mature eggs, but they drained 46 follicles, so man, I am feeling it! Keeping one eye on the clock to see when I can take some more tylenol (I'm really trying not to use the Tyl#3 - it puts me to sleep like crazy). They gave me 2 ampules of albumin (Jen - it's to help reduce the risk of OHSS by drawing extra fluid into the blood system instead of allowing to go into the abdomen) afterwards in the IV. They have me measuring all the fluids going in and coming out. That'll be fun! JK. We won't know for several days if we can ET this cycle or not. But first, PIO tonight, if I can get off the couch ok.

Thanks so much, you all, for your well wishes. You have no idea how much it means to me!

Congrats everyone who is starting stimming and Lupron, it goes really quick from there! Thinking of all you tonight!

I'm so excited!!! FINALLY--

Hey Karla,
That is awesome that you got AF! What a great birthday present...HA! About the BCP's, yes, they tell you how long to take them just so you fit into their procedure schedule. I was on mine for 21 days before starting Lupron, then continuted them for 4 more days after starting the Lupron. Enjoy AF for now, hopefully they'll let you count today as Day1!

I went in for bloodwork this morning and they have me upping my dose of stims. I'm a little concerned because every time I've stimmed before they actually reduced my dose. I even had an IUI cancelled because my E2 levels shot up. Oh well, they're the professionals...right?

Well, just downed my prenatals again....almost the close of another day. I'm counting down those days till Lupron on May 15th

I've seen so many negatives lately It's so sad....makes you really re-evaluate your own situation and how you'll feel if you don't get your BFP. I've seen some women with text book cycles and still come up with a negative....IVF is truly an unknown isn't it

Oh well, I guess we have to keep up our positive attitude and know that if it's our time it will work. All of those who are currently PUPO I wish you so we can have some BFP's soon and lift everyones spirits.

For those of you that have gotten a negative, I pray that you'll be given strength to carry on and achieve your dreams....I don't know first hand what you're going through but I know it must be very painful and emotional to deal with after such a stressful journey.

Now for personals

RHart: will be thinking of you with this meds change. I don't remember my previous cycle so I think that's a blessing in disguise I stress way too much without comparing things. I'm sure they are watching you closely and will adjust as necessary though..just keep up that PMA!!

KayM: ABOUT TIME!!! LOL, so glad she finally showed up for you! I was really worrying about mine too, she waited till day 36....which is my all time record anyway, seems to be my breaking point LOL They let me start on BCP's the day after I started....and I'll be on them till the 18th, starting Lupron on the 15th.

Shasta: WOW, that's a lot of follicles. Great egg report...can't wait to hear the fertilization report! Good luck! Oh and just flip over on the couch....he can shoot you with the PIO there can't he LOL

Mama2Caden: Congrats...maybe just one more day of stims...how exciting!

Mama2Caden and Katy: I so know what you mean. My husband was all manly when it came to the SAnalysis and said "Awww, I can do that, don't worry". He told me after the appointment on the way home that he finally just 'got it over with' as the room was bright and just clinical LOL He said they had some nice (read sarcasm) 1970's movies, a few books/magazines he was afraid to open and a nice (OLD) recliner in the room which he was not about to sit in LOL I don't know what we'll do for the ER day...LOL He was proud that the other gentleman there that day in the opposite room was still in there when he came out, and still in there after he went back to the lab! Funny how he finds competition in the strangest of circumstances.
