It seems like many of us are waiting for
. I am still waiting and she is late. For the past 4 months or so, she has been right on schedule and just because I want her here - no where in sight! to all the newbies and it is not to late to join in. About Repronex - because I am PCOS it never worked for me. They added it to my follistim the first and it made my e2 drop so my cycle was cancelled. I know that it is a combination of FSH and LH and I have to stay away from it. We have learned that follistim works the best for me! I hope everyone gets everything straight with the CORM. Good luck and lots of

Kelly, with the BCP they surpress your system and really assist with the endo, but I'm thinking that it's also so you can start pretty "clean" so to speak for your IVF. Your RE wants complete control over your cycle so taking BCP before your IVF cycle does that. I've seen where some people don't take them before, but not sure of the circumstance of why. Hang in there. I don't much like the BCP but it's all for a good cause.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself and thank all of you for being here. I have been lurking for a while and have found this board very comforting and informative.
We will be starting our IVF cycle next week with BCP and hope to have the retrieval in May. I look forward to sharing this journey and am so thankful that there is a forum like this to share our thoughts. I just know in my heart that all of our are coming soon!!!

Good morning ladies! It's a beautiful, sunny morning here in IA. I hope the rest of your weekends are off to a good start!
inourdreams! Hope you continue to find this a kind and supportive forum. We're all in this together...for better or worse.Browneyes and rhart - Where is CORM? I would be totally stressing if my clinic didn't return my call in a timely fashion. I guess I'm not as patient as you are! Browneyes, it is totally normal to stress about not knowing what the plan is. That is what stresses me out the most, even more than the thought of not being pregnant. I have to know what my options are! Did they ever "find" their record of you???? Scary! Kensbaby and Pray2bmom- Thanks for sharing about the Repronex. I was curious since they have me down for 12 Repronex, and only 3 Follistims 600units....maybe the Follistim is to be taken for 12 days as well, and maybe comes in multidose containers. Mama2Caden - Hopefully I'll get a calandar like you got...I'm anxiously awaiting my injection training appt on the 16th, that's when they'll give me my official protocol...that is supposedly the day I start meds as well. So I have to wait the day of starting the meds to find out what my protocol will be. Maybe the protocol will depend on my u/s results that day. Karla - That's really cool about the saline u/s! I'm so glad the saline part wasn't painful. I kept thinking of the dye they injected when I had my HSG and that was no fun. Yikes! I do have BlueCrossBlueShield, but one of the pharms that my clinic (in Iowa) likes is in NJ and the pharm couldn't tell me if they worked with my specific BCBS plan...too bad for them since they lost $2000+ worth of meds on me! After talking to many people yesterday I decided to go with the pharm near the clinic, 1.5 hours away. Even though they don't overnight meds, at least it's one that I know my insurance company will recognize...important since they will cover some of the cost. The IVF nurse thought if I needed refills they would be able to tell me that at my u/s appts so I wouldn't have to make extra trips down there. That's great that you already have your pham lined up in Portland....do you live near there? KellyKD - I don't know exactly what it's like to be afraid of taking OCP's since I took them for 10 years before now. I'll tell you what though, I'm scared to death of the injectibles! Are you worried about how the OCP's make you feel or of the potential adverse effects? Hopefully you will do fine with them, most people do. Hope you all have a great weekend! ![]()

Repronex comes in a 75 unit powder vial that you dilute with saline. And Follistim is a multidose pen. Not sure if you knew that or not. Just an FYI Here is a cool site that tells you how to do the meds, to mentally prepare you. Freedom MedTEACH

KellyKD - I took BCP in the past w/ no problems - I think everyone is different - if you're worried because taking bcp seems to be going against what you want - just remember - your RE uses them to have control over your cycle and keep in mind that it's all for the end result of a !! Wishing you the best! ![]()

Good morning all,
Pray2bmom - Congrats on the start of your cycle! It's so nice to have some idea of when things might happen. Kensbaby - I knew that Follistim comes in a pen and vial, I'm not sure what my clinic uses. I didn't know that the Repronex was something I'd be mixing myself! It's so nice to have someone here who has done this before... Welcome Jorstad! This is a fun way to meet other people doing IVF, eh? Hope this first time around works for you. I can't imagine how hard having a m/c would be...Good luck!

Hey everyone!! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!
Just wanted to say to Inyourdreams & Jorstad!! You'll enjoy this forum-!!KellyKD-- I agree everyone is different w/ BCP's...however, mentally it does seem ace-backwards to have to take them in order to get pregnant....Like the other girls have said its the RE's way of taking total control of your reproductive system & help it be at its best for this process....Good luck girl--- hang in there! Kelly-- I actually live in SC, but for whatever reason my RE uses the pharmacy in Portland. They ship everything to me overnight if I need to. They are really great & extremely helpful!!! It definitely makes it a lot easier! Nicole-- glad you are starting your cycle-- doesn't it make you feel more productive even if you are starting BCP's? I always am excited when AF shows up & I began meds.....Most women wouldn't say that....LOL--Good luck to you on this cycle-- this will be it for you!!Jorstad--good luck to you on this cycle! Sorry to hear about your m/c. for your this cycle!!!Today's been a weird/ rough day for me...I worked in the nursery in my church this morning & I always love working with the kids...it got to me a little today-- not sure why- one of those days I guess. I feel a little overwhelmed w/ this process...I'm ready to get the show on the road w/ my IVF yet, I feel all those fears-- I know ALL of us feel...will it work?...what if it doesn't? How will I handle it...etc...any advice on how to get through days like today better...? LOL...Got to love IF!! But if anyone understands this it is all of you!
