Sorry to those who had a rough weekend! Bottom line, IF sucks and the roller coaster of emotions can take its toll.......just do all you can do to stay positive and know that IT WILL HAPPEN FOR ALL OF US!!!

to all the new Ladies of May!!!! Glad you've joined us and you'll find lots of support here!

This is our 1st IVF.

AF showed up this AM! Passing her on!!! Who's next???

Anyone else on cd1 today???

I am not doing bcp, going to start Lupron on cd21, then wait on AF again, and then stims next cycle. RE has not mentioned mock transfer, saline u/s or anything at this point.

I start AP on Wed - I'm nervously excited!!! LOL - is that possible??????????

Next appt is 4/21 for post-lap appt and injection training.....I hope April goes f-a-s-t!!!

I agree with the other girls, I have a great feeling that May will be the month for us!!! to all!

Angie, I am CD 1 also, but I am doing FET.

I'm back from the RE. My ultrasound showed 12-13 follicles. Apparently I have one ovary that is hiding on the top of my uterus.

Here's my timeline:
Today - Start BCP
4/23 - Lupron
5/1 begin stims (Gonal F and Luveris)
week of 5/12 egg retrieval?

Thanks for the compliment, but I am far from organized. I just know that the during my first IVF cycle a wonderful lady named Josee kept the list updated and I know it was a great resource. I hope it keeps us motivated and and we all get !

to Tracy, Melanie, and Smee. We're all just piling into May...nice!

Karla - You'd think that church would be the one place you could go to feel better. Funny how that doesn't always work out, eh? You have such an awesome attitude regarding your SIL...I don't know that I could handle it that well!

Linz - When I went for my initial IVF consult, they did a mock transfer only, and as far as I can tell, won't be doing a saline u/s. But seems like lots of ladies here have had them done.

Pray2bmom - Are your remaining cysts large? I'm just wondering, since I go in for an u/s next week. I had tons of little "antral" cysts in my ovaries when I had my first u/s before I started OCP's. I don't know if mine will have time to go away! Good luck with managing yours, it sounds like your doc is going to be pretty proactive about them though, which is great!

Mama2Caden - This is my first IVF too. I think we have quite a few first timers here!

Angie - I hope the next few weeks go by fast for you. Truly, waiting is the hardest part! It sounds like you have a great plan though!

Valerie - I'll be starting Lupron right behind you, on the 16th! I've never been so excited to get shots...or nervous!

Josephine - Great job on keeping tabs of us all. We have a ton of girls here so this is a huge job! Thanks.

You know the strangiest thing for me is that I'm not so worried about the shots. I think I can handle those, well maybe not the PIO shot, but I will deal with that when we get there. I think what worries me most right now is 1) how many follies/eggs will they get (hopefully enought) and 2). Will DH get it in the cup before ER. We have to take our "goods" in the day of ER and I just have an overwhelming fear not getting them there. Anyone else? I think I'm crazy. That's probably one of the easier parts huh? I guess I also worry that we won't get a good fertilization report etc.... Just so many worries. I just want to be onto the other side with the best possible news. This waiting has driven me crazy.

I did take time off from work during the week that ER is suppose to be. I want to as stress free as possible. I have been journaling my infertility journey and will be doing so during the entire IVF. That helps me. What have others been doing to keep themselves "sane" during this waiting game and leading up to stims?

I hear you. My first IVF I worried about every step. I have a huge fear of shots and was able to give myself all the injections for the first week. One day I had a mental break down, I just could not give myself the second shot. I cried for 4 hours, freaked out my DH and mom, and sought out advice on the forum. I ended up letting DH give me the injection. Once I allowed my DH to give me the shots I relaxed. I was worred that he would be rough and instead he was more careful than any nurse I have ever seen.

I stressed out about how may folicles, egg quality, cramping, and the 2 week wait was H_ll. I took a couple months off to get my head right. I have decided that this cycle I will not worry and stress about everything.

The PIO shots really arn't that bad. I put ice on my tush for 5 minutes then DH gave me the shot. It actually hurt less than some of the others and occasionally I even had to ask if he gave it to me.

Long post - the point is the unknown is stressful, but do your best not to worry.

Are you doing anything "special" to prepare for your cycle?

Good evening ladies. I was just wondering if anyone is doing anything special to prepare their bodies for their cycle? I know some mentioned doing acupuncture. I'm trying to ween myself (slowly) off of caffeine so I don't go through a huge shock and withdrawal right before my FET. Plus, not sure if you are aware, but there are some very recent studies indicating that even a little caffeine increases the rates of miscarriage. With my history, I'm not taking any chances! I've been working out a bit more, trying to shed the 5 or so pounds I managed to gain from my last cycles. Other than that I'm not doing a thing. I'm curious to what you're doing!
