Tracy - That was a very funny story and thanks for sharing it with us. I hope it helps others relax. Answering you question, I am from Louisiana.

Elizabeth - My BCPs are making me feel horrible too! I have never had this experience with them. I have hot flashes, modd swings, and can't sleep too well at night.

Cute story, Tracy! Speaking of ER.....how long does it take??

Elizabeth - thanks for sharing.....since this is our 1st attempt, I'm curious as to how others have got where they are on their journey......that sucks that you had a bad experience though!!! Glad you have 2 reasons to look forward to your ER & ET - and vaca!

Vinjosmom - We are on the same track and yes, the birth control pills are making me slightly crazy. I think my DH has finally learned to say "yes dear" so things have calmed down quite a bit

Josephine - We're in Charlotte, NC. I think its really great that you are keeping up with everyone - thank you! Looks like you are on the same cycle as Vinjosmom and us.

Natenang654 - I think I finally have the meds worked out. I talked to the RE and my bloodwork this time came back with an FSH of 11 (it was 7 last time) so they are taking an aggressive approach of 450iu of Gonal-f with Luveris (to help the eggs mature). It's still costing us over $5K but as others here have mentioned, I would rather be aggressive than have it not work. I guess time will tell. I am still considering holding off on ordering 1 of the pens in case we end up lowering the dose. Freedom Pharmacy said that can ship it quickly so that may be an option for us.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here in Charlotte and I'm looking forward to enjoying it.

Our month is coming girls!!! Here's to lots of !!!!

OMG, that is hilarious. When I had my lap last year, I remember the anesthesia guy comming in and putting something in my IV. He never said what it was. I was looking at the clock and it got all funny looking, that was the last thing I remember. So now for ER after they push the drug, I turn my head and look at the clock, when it starts looking funny, I tell the people in the room "Good Night"...LOL

Freedom Pharmacy is great about shipping. You can get it next day, no problem. I just suggest calling in your order as soon as you can, just to be safe. I have never had a problem with them.

Greetings!

Hello everyone. This is my first post on one of these message boards...I'm getting ready to start my first cycle of IVF and am completely new to this complicated world of fertility treatments! I have PCOS and DH has 0% normal morphology, so we are doing IVF with ICSI. The whole thing is very nerve-wracking. Looks like many of us will be going through at the same time...I'm excited to have others to relate to!

I've been doing a ton of reading and feel pretty educated on the process. Unfortunately, my clinic doesn't offer a shared risk program...but we feel really good about the doc and nurses we'll be working with, so we're paying by cycle. I heard about Freedom Pharmacy...anyone here using Schraft's? Is everyone here on BCP? My doc is not having me start with BCP but it sounds like many of you are...any specific reason why? Any words of wisdom out there for a newbie?

Good luck to everyone...Jen

Welcome AdsGirl!!! This place is truely amazing. I use Freedom Pharmacy but there are girls on here that have used Schrafts.
I have always used BCP for my cycles. It gives your body a chance to chill out before it gets all reved up. Not sure what the other reasons are to use it.

Good Luck to you and looking forward to sharing this journey with you.

Good afternoon ladies! Today is the first day I've seen the sun in 6 days here in NE Iowa. That alone is enough to lift my spirits. Amazing what a little sunlight can do.

Glad you girls enjoyed that Tears and Hope video. It really is a good one.

AdsGirl! I'm getting my meds from my IVF clinic's local pharmacy. But the other one they strongly recommended was Schrafts. This is also my first IVF, and I am on OCP's. I'm not sure why they wouldn't start you out on those...maybe you could ask them. Good luck on this cycle!

Karla - Isn't truly amazing how much time can heal our hearts? Looking back at all the frustrating experiences and painful times I've had surrounding infertility, some of the pain and frustration has gone away to a certain degree. I'll never forget them, but I'm so glad I don't have to completely experience the pain again everytime I remember them. Hopefully, will come very, very soon for you. The waiting is the worst!

Angie and Tracy - I hope your nurseries will have beautiful babies in them by this time next year. Our nursery was painted very soon after we moved into this house, and it's still empty as well. Looking at the bright side, at least we won't be painting while we're pregnant and uncomfortable! Angie - I love your part of the country! My mom used to live nearby in MI and we would go to Amish Country to get quiltiing supplies. What a treat!

Elizabeth - That was crazy about your ER. I wouldn't go back there either. You must've been traumatized! My IVF clinic gives IV meds for the ER....hopefully your new place will too.

Tracy - What a cute story!

My great aunt delivered her baby in the day of laughing gas, and when they told her that she had just delivered a baby girl she said "Well, doesn't that rot your socks off!". My grandma and I laugh about that still...

Well, update on me. I'm on my third week of OCP's for a few more days before I go in for my ultrasound and Lupron start on Wed. Thing is, I've been spotting for the last few days, the nurse had told me that was normal but I'm having cramps too, which I never have gotten except with . I'm worried that even though I'm on the OCP's my cycle is somehow off and they're going to cancel my IVF cycle before I can even start the Lupron! I'm trying hard to not worry about it, but it's hard not to. With all the the girls (esp Karla ) who are waiting on to show, I'm not sure why she's harassing me!

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

ADSgirl. Were a mixed groups of first timers and those of use with some experience, its a great place to hang out.

My RE uses BCP to predict the cycle, so they can plan the calendar around their openings. I will be on active BCP's for 22 days instead of 21 due to scheduling at the office.

This thread's really picking up steam as our time gets closer. I haven't checked in a while, and had to take a few minutes to read what I had missed. I'm so glad this is such a positive bunch of ladies. I'm getting excited to hear the BFPs start rolling in soon.
