Good Monday morning everybody. I'm doing okay with the Lupron shots so far. The second day gave me a bit of a headache, but I think it was more from lack of soda than anything. Do any of you have to stay on Lupron while you do stims?

I have to stay on Lupron while on stims, just half the dosage.

Yes, I had to stay on Lupron during stims. It prevents you from ovulating early.

I was just wondering because I know every doctor seems to do everything different. When I did IVF a year ago I only did one Lupron shot before stims, but it was an extended release DepoLupron.

I'm sorry to hear about your basement!! That is a horrible way to have to get through the weekend-- have you been able to get things cleaned up?
How is Lupron going....When will you start your stims?

There you are! I'm sorry AF isn't there yet, but it sounds like she's close, God love her! I know what you're saying about the pimples, I haven't had this many since I was a teenager. Doesn't help the 'ole self-esteem!

Honestly, I haven't been in the basement since Sat. when we were moving the stuff out. I'm letting DH handle it from here on, I think it's denial on my part!

The Lupron is going well. I don't have any side effects that I can tell. I stopped my OCP's on Sat and am supposed to call the IVF clinic when I start bleeding, and they will tell me when exactly to start stimming...but they are thinking it will be at the end of this week if I start bleeding today or tomorrow. I had some moderate cramping and bright red spotting this morning at 1:30 so I'm hoping to have a period today. It's weird to be on Lupron AND waiting on AF as well!

Have a great Monday!

Congrats on starting the stims, but sorry you're having so much pain with AF. AF is not my friend either. Do you have an endometriosis diagnosis by chance?

Enjoy getting ready for your trip to CA...travelling is a great distraction and your itinerary sounds so relaxing. Have fun! Your 2ww will be over before you know it.

Hey Rose!
My clinic will keep me on Lupron during stims, but I'm not sure for how long...maybe the whole time? They said they usually decrease the dose when they start stims, but they're going to keep me on the same dose since I have a lot of antral follicles. Glad the Lupron is treating you well! I'm doing ok with it too.

Good morning ladies!

Melanie050776 - My clinic told me to take the Lupron at the same time every day, but recommended the evenings. She said that if I decided my "target" time was 7 pm, to try to keep around then, but if needed I could do the injections 2 hours before or after then without a problem.

Elizabeth - That electro AP sounds crazy! You're a brave woman! Does it feel more relaxing to you than the regular AP?

Tracy - I sure hope you feel better soon!

Cari - Sorry the Lupron injections are starting to hurt! That's no good! Keep your chin up. Do you get bruising from the Lupron? I have a little bruise from one of mine...not sure if that's normal.

Karla - I really hope you stay with the May Ladies! You'll be taking your IVF drugs in May, so I believe that counts!

Angie - I will try to attach a pic of the kimono. Not having done this before, I hope it turns out ok.

Question Lupron

Hey girls!! My first oops was yesterday. Having done 2 IVF cycles before I thought I had taken Lupron at night. I was waiting for DH to get home to give it to me and looked at my paperwork and it said to give it daily in the morning. I gave it to myself then right away around 6pm and then I started it this morning (day2). I hope it doesn't screw it up. What time of day is everyone taking their Lupron? I have to be on this for almost 4 weeks. (2 weeks of supression then 1/2 the dose with stims)..

I have always done mine at night, per RE. That way if they call and say trigger or something I will be good to go.

Are you doing an FET? On my first cycle, I took the Lupron at night. But, this time, for the FET, my paperwork specifically says to take it between 7am-8am. I don't know why it'd be different, but they were very clear about the timing. I even left the bottle and a needle out on the counter last night so I'd remember this morning (today was the first dose)!
