Good evening ladies,
It's been a busy thread today!

to our newest people...Katy and hopefulmama. We're happy you have decided to join in the Magical Month of May (in Maggie's words!).

Stephaniellll- How did your labs ever turn out? If you already said, I must've missed it. Good luck on your HSG too...mine was horrible and I will be asking for pain medicine ahead of time if I ever have to do it again. Hopefully yours will be no big deal, lots of people who've had them done did just fine. Good luck!

Thanks Angie, emilysmom and Karla for your kind words about the kimono. Knitting really is addicting and rewarding... I'm just excited to start knitting for my own baby! For the knitters out there, here is a post from the "A Year of Inconceivable Living" blog that I thought was interesting for Earth Day.

Angie - Did you know you had this mild endo before you had surgery? It sounds like a very informative surgery you had, and I'm glad you are looking forward to starting the Lupron!

KellyKD - Good job on doing your shot! What about this cream...is it over-the-counter???? Nice!

Maggie - I'm SO glad your cyst turned out to be nothing to stop this cycle! It will be nice to have that removed during ER too so that you don't have to worry about it.

Jennifer - You go girl! Those follicles sound great. I hope you're not having too much discomfort. I hope I do as good as you are!

Hope - Your post about how hard it is when family gets pregnant is such a tough reminder of how true it is. We'll be tough ladies by the time we have our !

Linz - Tap dancing? You're awesome! When did you start doing that? That just makes me smile.

Have a great evening ladies. Sorry this got to be so long, but you all are the only ones I know doing IVF...I don't know anyone IRL dealing with this. Thanks for everything!

So today I had my first estradiol test drawn, and they called to let me know that it was fine and we're good to go! I'll start Follistim on Thursday! That is 2 whole days before I guessed they'd have me start.

Quick question for the experienced IVF'ers...my clinic paperwork says for me to inject the Lupron in my thigh and the Follistim in my stomach. I'm wondering if anyone does both of these in the stomach or if they really need to be in different parts of the body? I'm comfortable with doing the stomach injections now...

Congrats Stephanie,
Things will really start moving for you now.

Okay I am having a weird day.
I started my Lupron shots for my second IVF tonight. My first IVF I was over thinking everything and this time, its almost like its no big deal. I feel like I am experiencing an out of body experience.

Has anyone else had a similar feeling?

Katy & Audra! As Karla mentioned earlier, there have been lots of 's lately and we plan to continue that trend through the month of May!!!

Hello to everyone! Hope you had a GREAT day!

Jennifer ~ Wow! This is my 1st time around, but those seem like GREAT #'s!!!!

Hope ~ Just as others have said, I know it's hard, but there will be such joyful days ahead after all of our struggles!

Katy, migmel, Maggie, Nicole ~ So happy you guys are able to move forward with your cycles!

KellyKD ~ for us newbies to shots, please tell us about the cream!!!

Kelly ~ didn't know about the mild endo before the surgery, in Feb - started figuring that might be the issue after a bunch of GI tests and my own research about my symptoms.....it has been a whirlwind of doctor's appts and tests the past 6 mos! Congrats on getting started on Thurs!!! YAY! You're on your way!

g'night ladies!

I am doing the Lupron in the tummy. In a few days I will be doing 3 shots in the tummy - I tried the thigh and didn't like it last cycle.

Angie What were your symptoms? Not sure what they are for endo but my mom had it (I myself am a clomid baby!) I have been having very heavy periods (much heavier than I used to get) and think that might be part of my problem. Of course they know I have a progesterone deficiency and I have been sick and in the hospital on and off (but am better now thank God!!) so that prob accounts for not being able to get preg.

Thanks for the warm welcome . I am so excited and nervous. I hope dh and I made the right decision. The RE's office advised going straight to IVF (after clomid/ IUI) for us b/c I have chronic hypertension and my high risk Ob said I can't carry more than twins. That makes injectibles plus IUI more of a risk for us.

Is anyone doing pre-implantation genetic testing. We are considering it but are not sure.

My RE's office doesn't doe the genetic testing even when we requested it due to DN being born with Downs. Honestly - it doesn't matter to us
