So much activity on here!! Can't wait for all of the I know we will be having soon!

Just an update on me. Saw my RE today and my left ovary has moved to the right spot. It normally hangs out behind my uterus. Most cycles it has moved into the right spot for the ER but last cycle it stayed behind and RE had to go through my uterus (ugghh it was a horrible recovery) to retrieve and still couldn't retrieve all the eggs! Anyway, it moved into the right spot, yay! My E2 was 1533, still around 25 Follies and I start Ganirelix tonight. I go back tomorrow for bloodwork and another U/S and B/W appointment Friday. I will know more Friday if my ER is moved up to Sunday instead of Monday. Will let you all know!

Forgot to mention in my last post. I asked my RE about Medrol. There was a post about it a couple of days ago. This is my 5th cycle and my RE has never mentioned it so when I brought it up she said that it is a steroid that has the possibility of helping with implantation. Nothing has definitively been proven that it helps but it can't hurt. She said she normally doesn't give it but will for certain older patients or patients that ask about it and want to take it. We officially decided that we will do AH on this cycle and she gave me a prescription for Medrol. She said it can't hurt so why not try it. Just wanted you all to know so you can ask your RE's about it too. If it can't hurt then I definitely think it is worth trying it!

I was completely shocked. 11 months ago, at my first clinic, I was at 8. Has anyone else here gone through such a radical change?

I had to wait until the end of the day to talk to the RE, fighting back tears. He did a good job of reassuring me and wants to go ahead. He says 1) that we should proceed as no one's eggs improve with age; 2) it is a good thing I am doing IVF, and 3) that it only changes my success stats by 6%. I am trying really hard to believe him. I guess this is the rollercoaster of IVF.

MissKris - Try to stay positive. My first FSH level was 7. Then when I was rechecked prior to starting this first round of IVF it was 11. The tests were taken a couple of months apart. I was pretty devasted too but my RE assured me that it would be okay and we are now using a more aggressive protocol (450 iu of Gonal-F and Luveris). The good thing about finding out is at least the RE knows and they can adjust your meds accordingly. Good luck!

Giggles178- I have the same problem. My left ovary is on top of my uterus and I've been worried that they will have trouble getting to it. You have given me some hope that it will fall into place so I'm that mine will behave.

Hey May Ladies-- I hope everyone's morning has started out right!

This place is hoppin' w/ activity. It took me a bit to catch up from yesterday!! LOL....

First of to all the ladies who were having trouble yesterday getting meds-- did everything get worked out? I know that has to be extremely frustrating!!

Thinking about all of you starting/ doing shots! Its not the fun part, but its going to be worth all the pain in the next several weeks when we all start seeing those s!!!! I'm thinking & for you guys!!

Mama2Caden-- I know what you mean about feeling a little anxious. I'm excited & ready to go w/ my IVF, yet in moments I feel a little overwhelmed & anxious too!

Jospehine (Tracy)- Congrats on starting your Lupron. Do you have any side effects from it?
I'm also w/ you on the 2ww. I can't stand the 2ww & I think it may seem a little harder after going through IVF-- I pray I will find plenty to busy my mind so I'm not analyizing every single twitch & symptom I feel!

Nicole- Have you heard from your Re's office about your meds?....I know that is frustrating-- thinking of you & hopefully it will get worked out today!

Stephanie-- I'm going to do AP & this is my first IVF. I actually went for my first appointment yesterday. I, like you, had read a lot of great things about it on the internet & the research seems to point that it can be beneficial to do it. Hey, if anything- you will at least be more relaxed.

Kelly (Shasta)-- Today's the day right-- you will start Follistim tonight, right?...Follistim is a breeze--but good luck!! I didn't think about the fact that I will be doing 2 shots a day also at some point in my cycle. The few times I've done injections I've always done them in my belly-- I agree, the thigh seems a bit scarier--Well like you said at first the belly seemed scary too so I bet the thigh won't be bad either. I might need to look into this numbing cream everyone's been talking about. I've always done my shots cold turkey (no ice or anything). The HCG was the worst to me....

KellyKD-- Good luck today w/ your u/s!! I hope everything is exactly what it needs to be at this day in your cycle!

Lauren5290-- Ok, girl-- I was just checking on you....Yay to arriving....And no girl-- I'm still waiting...I'm officially 1 day late. I'm still feeling crampy here & there-- started feeling tired so I'm hoping she'll show up soon!! I'm so ready. My b-d is next week-- normally I'd be annoyed to have her show on my b-d but this year I'd welcome her as the best present ever!! LOL

MissKris-- I think you are in good hands w/ your RE. If he isn't worried about your FSH level being elevated some, try not to worry (I know, easier said then done). Like one of the other girls said-- plenty of women on here have gotten w/ elevated FSH. You are on your way to your !!!

Kelly & Angie-- my AP appointment went great. I love the APist. He was super nice and just so positive. He didn't push any herbs on me and was just telling me to stay positive through my IVF, etc. It was a great experience. He stuck me in my arm just to let me get a feel for it & I it didn't hurt at all. I'm excited for my first session which will be next Friday!

Ok--- I hope everyone has a great Thursday!!!
Girls-- it is almost the weekend--yay!!

Hi all, your activity on here is overwhelming .. I can only get on every few days .. and I just can't keep up. But, it is such exciting reading, everyone is moving right along.

I have a very quick question. I am probably going to start Stims in about 5 days. My first IVF I only got 5 eggs. So, I am want this clinic to be very agressive. I'm doing only Gonal-F.

I believe I am starting out with 150 units in the morning and 150 units at night. I'd be curious if this sounds agressive or not?? My first IVF I did 225 Units at night .. so, this isn't that much more.

My RE is also doing a more aggressive protocol. I am starting on 450 units of Gonal-F and will add Luveris somewhere in the stim cycle (not sure when). I thought this sounded pretty high to me since there is no way to know how my body will react but I trust my RE. Maybe you could ask why they chose that dose. I'm sure they have a reason.

Hey everyone! Good morning! This thread is hopping!

Jennifer- 25 follies is awesome! I hope I get that many! Glad your ovary is cooperating this time! I'm nervous enough about the ER- I can't imaging if they had to go through your uterus also! Yikes! That's interesting about the Mendrol- have to see about that one.
Migmel- I'm with you on the AP. It;s something I'd like to try- but we already took out a 15k loan to pay for all of this- so I'll just have to destress myself! Kepp staying positive!
Miss Kris sorry about your FSH- but I think the girls are right. Your RE sounds positive- so roll with that!
Shasta- yay for Follistim!
Karla- glad your AP appt went well- hope AF shows for you soon!
Tara- my RE is starting me out on 300 iu follistim also- 150 in morning and 150 at night. He told me "I want as many eggs as I can get!" So that's exciting! It's hard- but we just have to trust them!!!
Tracy-thnks for keeping track! My Lupron came today- and i'll start it tomorrow- so can you update me? I go back for baseline u/s Wednesda 4-30.

I hope everyone's pharmacy situation is working out. I got my meds at Caremark- and their delivery guy is nuts! He called my cell at 8:30 and needed direction to my house! What! hello- mapquest, or GPS? It was this delivery service guy in an old beat up van! He had to call my cell 3 times before he found his way! Nuts I tell you! But my package was sealed & official and now I have my stuff! I even got a sharps container this time- oooohhhh! SO excited for Lupron tomorrow!!!!! Let's roll!

Thank you Shasta, Stephanie, Inourdreams and Linz712 and anyone else I forgot to mention. I feel so much better this a.m. I am over it. I am going to stay positive and believe in my RE. I will be on the more aggressive stim protocol.

Linz712, it was especially good to know hear I'm not the only one. A couple of months? That must have shocked the heck out of you. I'll be sure to follow your cycle and cheer for you!

Totally off topic here but is it really so wrong to have 2 ice cream cones for for lunch? And yes I did say 2. I just couldn't stop at one lol. I have been eating so healthy lately I couldn't take it anymore. I asked my son if he wanted ice cream for lunch and he starting jumping up and down. I guess he couldn't take the ultra healthy meals we have been having lately anymore either.

I got thru my lupron shot last night. My husband commended me on it only taking me 10 minutes to talk myself into the shot vs half an hour like last time. I then came at him with the needle. I got really dizzy with the dexamethsone so I'm glad I took it at night.

It's almost the weekend!
