Hi guys! Hope you're all have a fabulous spring weekend out there!

Angie - Congrats on starting Lupron on Friday! Not that bad, eh?

Karla - I can't believe you haven't started yet! Don't get discouraged, she will come. I just hope she comes before you have to take the Provera, since that will really prolong you! At least you have another 4 days to go. I'm she starts soon for you.

Lauren - Stay here! Even if your ER isn't until June, it doesn't matter...we want you!

Tara - I was curious what dose of Lupron you're taking? If you've been on it 6 weeks and still aren't suppressed, have they thought about increasing the dose at all? Maybe you're already on the max dose. I'm sorry it's taking so long for you to start stimming, that is certainly nervewracking.

Cari - Drinkable yogurt, yum! We made indian food here last night and I sucked down a huge lassi (yogurt drink)...it was so good. Not so good were the GI effects I had almost immediately after! Too much of a good thing, let's just say, is NOT a good thing. That'll teach me to be a lassi-hog. BTW, good job to your DH for a great PIO shot! Hopefully my DH will be just as adept!

Migmel - It might have been me that said that I was on Lupron 20units, which I am. They have me on a high dose since I have PCOS and they are concerned that I'll overstimulate easily. I think you'll be fine on 10units, seems like lots of people take that dose.

Aimeelu04! Great people, great place!

Hey Lauren,
Glad you're staying! My doctor's office didn't mention asprin to me either, though they did give me a rx for tetracycline for around ER time. I know the ASA isn't standard for every clinic, but maybe you should check on the antibiotics? I don't know...anyone else here not going to be on abx?

I'm feeling fine on the Follistim so far! Of course, I've only taken 3 doses, so I'm not expecting to feel too much yet. Maybe a little crampy and bloated, but I was feeling bloated before I started the stims. Have you started the Follistim yet?

Hey girls!
Just got a call from the IVF clinic with my estradiol report from this morning: 498!!! She said that I'm responding really really well and we're going to decrease my Follistim to 75units (half of what I'm taking now!) and start up the Repronex. This is getting exciting...my first IM shot tonight!

Have a great afternoon!

Good morning Ladies -

Furiously trying to catch up here - been trying for the last couple of days but really going for it this morning - been reading for well over an hour and still have about 7 pages to go....oy!

But I just wanted to say -

GIRLYMECH!! - Congratulations on quitting smoking - that is so important - so great for your health and I'm sure quite a relief to all those who care for you! Great job on 3 months - my 9 month quit-anniversary is on Karla's B-day, the 4th! I have those smoking dreams too, but far less than I used to. They drive me nuts because in my dream I smoke and feel terrible about it - the nice thing is that then I wake up and I feel great that I'm a non-smoker and proud of myself all over again! Anyway, I just wanted to tell you congratulations! You've accomplished a great feat!

to all, now back to catching up......

Hi Ladies!

Just got back from my ER and it went really good. They retrieved 22 eggs, which is amazing for me. I have only gotten around 15 before so I am feeling really good. My ovary that is usually behind my uterus was in the perfect spot and I am only feeling a little crampy. I will get my fertilization report tomorrow and will keep you all posted. I go back on Wednesday for my ET. I am feeling so hopeful and can't wait to hear my results tomorrow. Thank you all for the support you give, I really appreciate every single one of you!

Wow....ok. This thread is so active it's hard to keep up - truly.

Josephine (Tracy) I was glad to hear that we have 55 people in May (I guess 56 now with the addition of Aimee -wecome Aimee!) that's a lot of ladies and no wonder it has become pretty much impossible to keep track of everyone (at least for me - clearly not for you and for that you get a big giant gold star! - Thank You!) As for an update - I began my stims on Friday - today is my third day! woo-hoo!

On the ice cream note - I've been having an incredible sweet tooth recently too - and I generally do not have one. Not only did we nurse in our freezer a giant container of cold stone chocolate with peanut butter and reeses peanut butter, but I've been making desert - a bunch of chocolate mousse and chocolate souffles (I have a great recipe for chocolate mousse if anyone would like it.) I figured that it had to be because I'd cut my caffeine almost entirely out (just kept a wee bit mixed in with decaf in the am) and so my body is craving the caffeine in the chocolate. If we're having to cut caffeine out, I guess that means chocolate as well...so I'm clearly having some trouble with that....

On the AP note, I too am having it. I had my third session yesterday which took place after an hour (fertility?) massage - that was interesting - a lot of prodding and pressing..
My APist did ask me if I would be willing to take any herbs, but my RE said he did want me taking any herbs. He did make some dietary suggestions and they are as follows: no mangos as they are related to poison oak and considered in chinese medicine the poisonous fruit, no strawberries because bugs adore them and so they always have to be sprayed, and no melon because it is eaten cold. Try to stay away from cold foods and drinks because the cold clogs up the energy in your body - best to eat things cooked or at room temp - again, this includes all liquids. No fish that doesn't have scales - which means no bottom feeders (shrimp, scallops, crab, etc.) If eating Salmon, try to eat only wild, not farmed. Try to stick with only organic meats. Cut out (or down) dairy - soy ok. No wheat (I don't know why - forgot to ask) and finally, both DH and I are supposed to eat Lamb or Venison 5 days before my ER (another one I did not ask about but intend to.) So there you go - one AP's opinion - also, I have high FSH - so some of these suggestions may be related to that.

Anway, Happy Sunday Ladies! I wonder when we're going to hear from Giggles - I have been checking - where are you Giggles - and how did it go?!!

Hmm...it's the 27th today...In four days we enter our VERY LUCKY MONTH. MAY - the month of flowers and fertility!! - woo-hoo!! Good luck ladies - I'm pulling for you all and so excited to be part of such a great group!! Yay!!
