  Me: 27 ( hyperthyroid, septated uterus (had surgery to fix, one blocked fallopian tube (had this surgically fixed), longer then normal cycles( 38 days) , tried many rounds of clomid, 3 failed IUIs, one failed IVF fresh transfer. DH: 27 ( low counts, 4% morphology..everything else perfect, including him!!)  Scottie (schnauzer) Sandy (rodisean ridgeback)Started first IVF cylcle in January Started BCP's on 1/13/08 Started Lupron obut had allergic reaction Keep on taking BCPs until 2/25 Start Follistem 2/25 E/R is 3/13 E/T 3/16 (a three day transfer with 2 perfect 8 cell embryos!) Beta 3/27   FET 9/11  Hopefully 3, 6 day embryos

hey ladies, how are you doing? well i just got results back from my OBGYN and it was just a phone call and she didn't have a lot of answers other to tell me everything came back normal. WTF???? they told me that with a blighted ovum that it should be abnormal, so now everything is normal and i have no idea what to think. i go to my RE on Wednesday and i hope that they have more answers for me, because i am getting sick and tired of having no answers for anything that is going on. ok, sorry for the rant, it just suck!!!

Jamie- last December that is what I had as well.. a blighted ovum. Basically it just means that the fertilized egg did indeed attach but stopped growing early for some reason. I never did chromosome testing on that tissue but I have a strong suspicion that it was due to trisomy 21 because this little guy in me now has that. For some reason Jacob (that will be his name
 ) survived and is going strong but many more babies do not. My RE also said a blighted ovum can result when the attachment to the uterus is not complete but only partial in which case testing would not detect that. Hopefully you get more answers when you see your doctor.

Its a BOY!!! who happens to have an extra chromosome 21 7/15/08- ob appt baby right on track Loving my doppler and totally addicted to it!!

Jamie, have you had the autoimmune testing done? Maybe that might give you some answers. It really does stink when you still don't know why something happened.

Jamie - I am so sorry. It is so frustrating to have no answers at all...hopefully, you get some answer with the immune testing.
AF finally did appear. Apparently all you have to do is pee on a $15 stick and she magically appears! Okay, sarcasm aside, I am really relieved! I have a lot to do to get ready to fly out on Sunday...

. So happy that you get to make your trip to Colorado on schedule! Man...what a relief huh?Jamie - I, too, am really sorry that the testing is turning up nothing. I know that has to be so incredibly frustrating. But, looking on the bright side...maybe nothing is wrong, your miscarriages have been random events and your next cycle you will get pregnant with a healthy, happy little baby. That's what I'm going to pray for! Tam - Good for you for taking leave from your job. You were under waaaaaay too much stress and you're doing the right thing for your little one(s) - you'll never regret your decision. Leanne and Kate - Yeahhhhh!!! for getting started . I'm getting really impatient for you guys to start too!As for me....still stimming. Things are slower going this cycle, but I'm on a different protocol. I'm taking 300 iu of Gonal F only. I go in again Saturday for more b/w and u/s. Plugging along, but getting very impatient and very anxious! TGIF ladies...best of luck to everyone.

thanks ladies for all your help. i spoke with a woman that i know that has 8 miscrriages, can you belive it, and i asked her because with her last cycle she used PGD, saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks and then had a blighted ovum at 8 weeks - well she said that you have such a short amount of time until the embryo is dissolved and there is nothing left of the embryo to test and they test the placenta that might have different genetic testing. so we are still going forward with the testing and waiting to see what happens.
amy - congrats on stimming, maybe the slow but steady growth will give you some wonerful embies Sue - congrats on AF appearing, man did that feel weird for it to say. and i agree, she is evil and waits until we spend a butt load of money and energey wondering where she is before she rears her ugly head. good luck with your cycle

glad everyone is having a great weekend. Just popping here to say dh's surprise for anniversary. He took me to dinner at texas roadhouse. then at the end he had them bring up the stupid saddle...god I hate that thing it is sooo cheezy. anyway, I was required to sit on it "side saddle like lady" and then he got down on one knee and proposed again!! He is to stupid and crazy...i said no at first, but finally decided that the kids still need their daddy so I said yes and got everyone to applaud...

Thanks for all the well wishes! We are off for a 6AM flight tomorrow and the doctor's appointment is all day Tuesday (I mean, 8:30 to 4:30, eeek), and we are returing on an overnight flight that night...so I will be back and posting by Wednesday with all my news (if I have any, still can't decide if I want them to find something wrong or not...). I am excited to at least get out of town and maybe find some answers. Have a great few days everyone! Good luck to everyone stimming!!! I'm off to take the dogs to their ridiculously expensive pet-motel for the week:-)
