 back! Good song by the way Kate- Welcome back! Barbara- You are in my thoughts and  I talked to the dr. today and she said she would put up a fight with me really hard about transfering 3 embryos for our FET. She said it is because she does not want multiples, and that triplets would be very hard to carry. She also said that I am young and if I "was her daughter she would advise me to thaw one and transfer one at a time". I asked what the odds are of the transfer taking? She said 25-50%, but because of my age she figures it would be more on the higher side of the figures. We finally negotiated and settled at transfering two embryos if they both thaw well...that will leave one in the freezer, but two is better then 1 i figure! What do u all think?

  Me: 27 ( hyperthyroid, septated uterus (had surgery to fix, one blocked fallopian tube (had this surgically fixed), longer then normal cycles( 38 days) , tried many rounds of clomid, 3 failed IUIs, one failed IVF fresh transfer. DH: 27 ( low counts, 4% morphology..everything else perfect, including him!!)  Scottie (schnauzer) Sandy (rodisean ridgeback)Started first IVF cylcle in January Started BCP's on 1/13/08 Started Lupron obut had allergic reaction Keep on taking BCPs until 2/25 Start Follistem 2/25 E/R is 3/13 E/T 3/16 (a three day transfer with 2 perfect 8 cell embryos!) Beta 3/27   FET 9/11 Hopefully 3, 6 day embryos resulted in Currently taking a break.

Hi LeAnne - I think go with what you feel comfortable.
I love how they tell us what is best for us. Can you handle multplies if yes, who is she to tell you otherwise. Do you want to send your thread sister from NY after her? LOL...I guess my meds are making me aggressive.

Just wanted to let you all know that I had a scan today at the RE's office after they gave me my last PIO injection. I am supposed to be 11wks tomorrow and we found out that the baby has stopped growing. The RE will confirm it tomorrow and I will have a D&C Thurs. I never saw this coming. Everything seemed to be going so well. Guess I'm just silly for getting my hopes us.
Heather, congrats on the positive. That's great news.

Heather – Welcome back. Of course we remember you! I was wondering what happened to you. HOLY COW!!! A positive HPT after all you went through – just awesome and amazing! Congratulations. Now we have a Marching Through IVF theme song.
Cathy – Sorry about the m/s. I’m sure being nauseous all day just totally sucks. I sure hope you’re feeling better soon. And….I’m so happy after all the initial frustration that things seem to be going well for you now! Kate and Dude – Welcome back. I know what you mean about eating your weight in food when you go on those cruises Kate – it’s so hard to resist…and WHY RESIST it’s vacation, right? I’m soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited that you’ve started stimming. It’s been a long time coming and I think I’m as excited and anxious for your BFP as I am for my own. Barbara – Thinking of you and hoping for a HUGE beta tomorrow to set your mind at ease. I think the fact that you have no symptoms is a good thing. Leanne – I think you have a good plan. I agree with the doc – you’re young and your chances of getting pregnant are significantly increased due to that fact alone. I could live with twins, but triplets make me nervous. Ultimately you need to go with what you feel comfortable with, but I think the doctor isn’t just concerned with how many kids you end up with, but more importantly the risks involved in carrying multiples. Just putting my 2 cents in. Tami – How are you feeling today? My update: Talked to the nurse yesterday and I may be triggering tonight for a retrieval on Thursday and a transfer on Sunday. I may be pregnant by the end of the week! I’m feeling much better this cycle than I did my last one (I’m not nearly as stimulatated – my E2 levels are within normal limits rather than off the charts). I went for u/s and b/w today again (my lining was at 8 and I had follies ranging from 20 to 14 and there were about 20 follies from what they could see). They will call me this afternoon to let me know the plan for sure. I’ll keep you all updated.

Jana - I am so sorry. My heart is breaking for you and your DH.
Heather - Wow! You did it on your own!! Congratulations! Kate - Good Luck with starting the cycle!!!! Barbara - You will have m/s before you know it! My update... I went to the RE last Wednesday - they saw 6 little follicles. I went back today and only have 1 lead follicle - What??? I have 1@14, 1@11, 3@10. The RE wasn't happy and said this isn't good. I am on day 7 of stimming. What do you think the chances of all of them growing so I don't get converted to IUI? I just can't believe this protocol didn't work for me. I am a poor responder but my FSH was only 3 last week... the RE said that I am a poor responder and there isn't anything more for me to try... I asked him if my body just doesn't respond to meds... maybe I'd be better with clomid. He didn't seem very promising. Is this it? This is my third cycle - and that's it?? My first one I got a BFP, but the numbers didn't double, the second was the microdose flare protocol - I didn't respond - only got 2 follies and switched to IUI... This time was the patch and again - not many follies... is this it for me??? I just can't believe you throw in the towel... there is nothing else for me???? If any one has suggestions, PLEASE let me know.... I am plannng on going to a new RE as soon as he can get me in... but - I'm so disappointed that my RE thinks this is the end of the road for me.... I'm just not ready to give up... 35 is not too old... I just need a new direction... unknown infertility is so frustrating... I just wish I knew what was the problem, then we would know what to target.... but all of my tests results are normal.... so how does my RE just give up on me??? Sorry for rambling on and on, but I'm just in shock....

Carrie - Your RE sounds like a hopeless person. I wish you the best with your new RE. There has to be something that has to be done. I have a fsh of 21 and my RE didnt call me hopeless and your number is so much better.

barbara, no heartbeat was seen. My nurse is the one who did the scan, RE will confirm tomorrow when she looks. Just not my turn to be a mommy.

Jana - Oh my God! I am just SICK for you. Words cannot express my sympathy and my disgust for what you are having to go through. You seem to have a very good outlook, but I know how much you are hurting and I so wish that I could take it all away. You and your DH are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jana- I am so sorry. I want to hug you in person and wish there was something I could do or say to ease the pain. I am afraid that you are beating yourself up a bit. You are not "silly" for getting your hopes up. You are human and full of hope like we all are. If we had no hope, we would have nothing to push us along this difficult path.
Please let your sadness out and pamper yourself. You are mourning a loss and need time to do so. Once again, I am so sorry.

I am not liking your RE right now. Reminds me of Dr. Doomingloom. Can he be a little bit positive?? I am glad you are heading off to a new RE- have you considered SIRM? It would mean heading into NY but they have a good reputation with poor responders. As for this cycle, all hope is not lost. Your RE should give you more time. Can you push for that? It should be your decision.
