Oh Jen just wait another 19 weeks! Your pain is the baby's gain. Ha. Funny story about tattoos, we were on our way to the dentist today and had the windows down. My DD looks over at the car next to us and yells "holy tattoos" to the people with lots of tattoo in the car next to us. I had to laugh.

OK Kristen I have tattoo ideas for your babies, you can name them rose and daisy and have a tattoo of the flower the baby is named after on her butt. Then when they get older and date if the guy knows about it they are dead meat!!

ha! your DD is way too cute. And I am not giving birth, so no pain there. This baby will go to college in my belly. I already decided that I don't want to go through the pain. As much as I want to meet the little guy, we can see him through u/s and when he can talk we will be able to hear him through doppler...

I love the rose/daisy tat idea! Awesome!

Oh no Jen you are one of those ladies that is going to give birth at home because you will refuse to believe you are in labor. Walt, you better take a crash course in baby delivery 101.

Hey all you chatty women! I was napping. I went out today to lunch and to the farmer's market with a neighbor. I didn't have a big appetite at lunch (odd for me), and it was so hot (in the 90s) walking around the market. I came home exhausted. I feel bad for Dude because he took care of the pups all day. I was no help.

I love the twin talk. I always wondered about telling them apart but it seems that the parents always do. Nail polish is a great idea- how about french manicures on the babies?

Kristen, those tats are so cool! What a romantic idea. I love it and it is much more permanent than a wedding band that can be lost. Maybe Dude should get a wedding band tattooed on his ring finger. He can only wear his band for short periods of time because he gets a reaction.

Oh and I know a few people asked when our beta is. It is on Monday. I did not POAS today at all. Wow! I decided to do it every other day. So I will do it tomorrow and Sunday. I have to admit that I get nervous that the positive is going to go away. I don't really think it will, but it is one of my irrational fears.

Huh...I just figured Kate had said something already. We got another whippet from the same breeder we got Zuca from - picked him up last Sunday. I wanted a male because the four whippets I've had to this point were all females. He's about 2-1/2 months old and very cute. Zuca likes to chew on him. It's great they play and interact a lot, but they still require a ton of supervision, as their dual-puppiness leads to even more mischief than either puppy would alone. Also, Zuca's still so much bigger that we have to intervene occasionally to keep Spiff from getting bullied too much. Yup, that's his name - Spiff. We're not fully committed to that name yet, but so far we both like it. It's cute, and inspired by a good friend's online nickname.

The idea of raising puppies and babies at the same time is pretty darn scary, but our thinking was if we didn't get started on puppies now and give them a head start, we'd probably end up never getting them if we had a baby (or babies) first. Right now they're adorable and loveable, but exhausting. I'm enjoying them, but really look forward to how they'll be 2-3 yrs. from now, since mellowness is one of the traits I love about (most) whippets.

Here's a couple of the better snapshots we've managed:

Identifying twins: Can't you just shave one's head and let the other grow hers out?

Jen said "hooha". Huhu huh huhhuh huh.

(With all the restrictions on sex these days, I really miss hooha, so just hearing it mentioned gets me excited.)
