Kristen, dont give up!!!!

i had 17 retrieved and they ICSI 10. out of the 10 only 4 fertilized. Out of the 4 , 3 made it to transfer at 3 days. I had 2 stick!!! So it really doesnt matter about the # of embies, the quality is the most important. I know folks told me that over and over and i never believed it until i got my bfp of 380!! You are going to be pregnant soon. Dont worry. Good luck!

Kristen – I think 10 is great!!! Of the posts I’ve read it seems like if a lot of eggs are retrieved only about ½ fertilize. But the ones that do are STRONG so I think your report is GREAT. 10 is AMAZING!!! Now just sit back and rest up for the 21st.

Jana – How did things go for you yesterday??

Liza – Oh, I’m so sending you positive vibes right now. I know how frustrated you have to be, but IUIs DO work for so many people and I’m really praying that you are one of them.

Barbara – Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he’s on the road to recovery.

Sarah – Glad you survived the storms. The rain has been just devastating this summer!!!

Hi everyone!

Not good news for me today. After doing the Lupron flare, I only have 2 follicles. I just can't believe it... one in each ovary. I had my u/s today with my RE and he said we will need to convert to IUI. I am so upset over this...

They aren't sure if the BCPs just supressed me too much...? I just don't understand, my blood work always comes back fine and then ... 2....???

My stomach is all black and blue and swollen from the repronex and I only get 2 follicles....? I am so disappointed.

If this IUI doesn't work, I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. The flare protocol is to be the most aggressive and it didn't work...?

The nurse said something about an estrogen patch? Can you do Clomid and a patch? I just need to get more follicles and am not sure how??

John, the embryologist, came in and talked to me while I was waiting for my randomization and he said that he was happy with the results so far compared to last time. Well today I had my 3rd u/s and I am measuring 7w3d and we have a hb of 154! I go again in 2 weeks (on the day I start my new job!) and hopefully they will release me to my ob/gyn then!

AmyR, our FET went great. All 3 embies made it so we transferred all 3. I'm so scared that none of them will stick. I'll be devastated if that happens.

Sue- I am so glad the new doctor is so great. I don't think you are wasting time with your current IVF. Heck, it's almost free, right? Plus, even if it doesn't work ( that it will), we learn a lot from even failed cycles.

Barbara- How is Dad doing? I am not sure about when my cycle will start. I am still thinking July/August. I want it to start NOW though. :::stamping foot:::

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words!! I know that some people would kill for 10 embies right now so I'm going to just keep praying that these are the best ones and they are going to be my future babies!! . We're already miles ahead of where we were last time so I'm not complaining, just scared!! But I guess that's the whole thing about IF...the roller coast of emotions we go through!!

Maybe we should wait and see how they are doing tomorrow...although, had 11 made it I would have gone for the Ocean's 11 guys (Brad Pitt and George Clooney would be the best looking blasts for sure!!!). There isn't anything with 10 is there??? hmmm...Brady bunch...no, that's six kids unless you count Alice, Sam the butcher, and the parents!!
