Not to compare every little thing to everyone else! No two betas, poas, or symptoms are the same! Im stressing myself out comparing numbers and such and its just not worth it! Symptoms or issues during 2WW: OHSS!!!!!! What day you got your BFP: 10dpt HPT before blood test: No, I didn't have a chance. Number of first beta: 53 10dpt Number of babies: 1 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! The shots really weren't that bad, that OHSS was such a possibility - my dr. really downplayed the possibility of it and I ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks, and that pregnancy has its own set of worries (although I knew that, it didn't really strike me until I started worrying about everything).

Beta 20dpt: 1210!  7/11 - 6 wks - 1 bean! Measuring 5wk6d & we saw the heartbeat! 7/25 - U/S - 8 wks - measuring 8w! Hb 176! 8/8 - 10 wks u/s - measuring 9wk6d with hb 170 on doppler & 189 on u/s - ovaries still huge! 8/21 - Bleeding - ER visit, baby ok - sub-chorionic bleeds until 14 1/2 weeks - bedrest, weekly progesterone shots until 34 wks 9/9 - We're having a boy! 10/8 - Anatomy scan - all great, still a boy! EDD 3/6/09

I have a child from a previous marriage and my mom went through menopause at 58, so the doctors assumed I should be able to get pregnant. Treatments you tried before IVF: none How many IVF did you do before success: Success on the first try Are you using donor eggs or sperm: No Protocol (meds taken): BCP, lupron, gonal-f, Menopur, Ovidrel How many follicles at ER: 14 How many eggs retrieved: 7, 6 mature and all ISCI'd How many eggs fertilized: 3, but only two made it to transfer How many days between ER and ET: 3 days How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2, grade B Symptoms or issues during 2WW: tired What day you got your BFP: 10dpt HPT before blood test: Yes. Number of first beta: 29 Number of babies: 1 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! There is so much uncertainty that you do not expect until you are going through the process. It's good to keep a positive attitude. It helped to test before the beta, in case the beta was negative. I didn't want to find out through a phone call from a nurse.

I thought doing the stim shots was a lot easier than I expected it would be. I wasn't prepared for how uncomfortable I became in the few days just before the ER. I also was surprised at how terrible I felt the first couple of days after the ET. Overall, I just was not prepared for how hard the IVF cycle was on my body.

Well, I'm finally believing this is all real and won't go away, so I'm going to post my success story now...

That the IVF is the easy part. My first beta was low, and the RE was doubtful Bean would make it, so the waiting between betas and for the first u/s was agonizing. Even after the first u/s, the RE was questioning the viability of my little Bean. Somehow, by the grace of God, Bean's hung in there, and we're already coming into the second trimester. The best thing to do is just keep the faith. __________________

Diagnosis or any known issues: MF, low everything Treatments you tried before IVF: None, IVF w/ICSI is only option How many IVF did you do before success: Success on first try Are you using donor eggs or sperm: no Protocol (meds taken): lupron, baby asprin, gonal f How many follicles at ER: 26 How many eggs retrieved: 24 How many eggs fertilized: 22 How many days between ER and ET: 5 How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 1 Blast quality AB, 1 "almost" blast no grade given Symptoms or issues during 2WW: Had mild OHSS before retreival. During the 2WW, I felt great (normal again). Sore boobs & mild cramping. Spotting couple days before beta. After the beta, OHSS came back and was worse than before! What day you got your BFP: 10dp5dt HPT before blood test: Yes, BFP 6dp5dt (dollar tree baby test) Number of first beta: 191 Number of babies: 1 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! Yes, IVF is difficult on the marraige, lonely and is completely unpredictable. The waiting NEVER ends...even if you get your BFP!

HPT before blood test: Umm...yeah-lots! I POAS every day starting 5 days after transfer Number of first beta: 240 Number of babies: 1-Audrey, born June 16, 2008 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! (1) the shots weren't nearly as bad as I had envisioned; (2) I never knew it was possible to live and die by numbers; and (3) make sure you ask a lot of questions of your RE and nurses and take pen and paper to every meeting and appointment. RE's throw around a lot of numbers and abbreviations-ask what they mean!

Here's a little story 1st...diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16. They took out both my tubes and one ovary...
Married when I was 19 and after college decided to see RE. IVF was only option!Name: Lori Age: now 32, 24 with 1st IVF How long TTC: first try! and 7K later... Diagnosis or any known issues: PCOS Treatments you tried before IVF: 0 How many IVF did you do before success: 0 Are you using donor eggs or sperm: No Protocol (meds taken): lupron, BCP, Pergonal How many follicles at ER: ???? How many eggs retrieved: 12, one cracked How many eggs fertilized: 7 How many days between ER and ET:3 days How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2- 5 cell grade A, 1- 4 cell grade B Symptoms or issues during 2WW: woke up craving chips and hot sauce about 3 days before pregnancy test What day you got your BFP: 2 weeks after transfer HPT before blood test: ? Number of first beta: 100 and something...clueless to the details! Number of babies: 3 babies, delivered at 26.3 weeks, have 2 beautiful 7 yr old girls, son died after 19 hours due to infection...He's our little hercules Trying IVF again SOOOO many years later. Currently on day 2 of bedrest after transfer .....so much has changed...this time I ended up with 5 mature eggs, 4 fertilized...ended up with 3- 8 cell grade A and 1- 2 cell grade B embryos. We transferred back 2 of the 8 cell grade A embryos...Left one behind to hopefully continue growing to cryopreserve....Lots of prayers everybody...and I'm sorry..I don't know ya'lls lingo...yes, I'm from TX...

Age: 28 How long TTC: about 2.5yrs Diagnosis or any known issues: double uterus, high FSH (24), removed left fal tube, 1 underdeveloped ovary Treatments you tried before IVF: none How many IVF did you do before success: 0 Are you using donor eggs or sperm: azoospermia, sperm Protocol (meds taken): 600 gonal F, 10 lupron How many follicles at ER: just 2 How many eggs retrieved: 2 How many eggs fertilized: 1 How many days between ER and ET: One How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: One 2-celled emb transferred, too early to grade the quality Symptoms or issues during 2WW: spotting and cramping the day before my 1st beta What day you got your BFP: 10dp2dt (on hpt) HPT before blood test: yep about 6 Number of first beta: 112 Number of babies: probably 1 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: I never thought in a million years this would happen for us, my body hardly responded to the max amount of stims, the drs were very unsure if my egg quality would be good enough, it was suggested that I use a donor egg several times. Even when 1 of my eggs fertilized, I was told my chances of the 2-celled embryo surviving after the transfer were very low. Never give up, this is something you want - do it with determination and believe in what your body is capable of. Pray. Pray before your egg retrieval, pray during your transfer, and pray every night in between. And don’t let everyone’s high follicle numbers on these threads drive you crazy, it only takes 1! Throughout everything, remember it’s ok to be sad.

With my failed cycle i did everything by the book. This time around I went on vacation with friends and relaxed and just enjoyed myself. I was completely stress free and I think that did the trick. Oh and don't put so much weight on how many they transfer i'm a perfect example of it only takes one!

Me (Beka)-34 DH-34 Our 3 boys 17, 16, 12--oldest and youngest are mine, middle is my stepson--second marriage--had a tubal ligation during first marriage. 1st In Vitro cycle Oct. 2008 ET--2 morulas 2nd In Vitro cycle Jan. 2009 Jan. 29th ER 11 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized by ICSI Feb. 3rd ET 2 blasts--1 beginning to hatch, 2 not hatching yet but good quality HPT--Feb. 9th faint pink line--positive HPT--Feb. 10th darker pink line--positive BETA--Feb 11th-- 193 BETA--Feb 13th--460 BETA--Feb 24th--14,475 U/S--March 2nd due to bleeding--saw 2 sacs but only one heartbeat. Not sure if the other is hiding or not progressing. 2nd U/S--March 10th--1 healthy little baby with a heartbeat of 160!

How long TTC: almost 5 years Diagnosis or any known issues: PCOS and MF Treatments you tried before IVF: clomid, TI, IUI How many IVF did you do before success: 1 Are you using donor eggs or sperm: no Protocol (meds taken): lupron, Repronex, Bravell, prenatal Vit baby aspirin, Royal Jelly, Bee Pollen, Bee Propulios How many follicles at ER: too many to count How many eggs retrieved: 22 How many eggs fertilized: 10 (1 abnormally with 2 sperm) How many days between ER and ET: 5 How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2 Blasts, quality 17 & 18 out of 20(best) Symptoms or issues during 2WW: Had mild OHSS before and after retrieval . Mild cramping What day you got your BFP: 10dp5dt HPT before blood test: Yes, BFP 5dp5dt Number of first beta: 256 Number of babies: unknown Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process!

Me 34 - PCOS DH 39 - Ct(110 ml), but still mot and morp issues  TTC 4+ years 2 year wait to see RE than RE takes 5 months off! 10/07-6/08- 6 rounds Clomid = BFN RE May 08 = waiting for DH appt. at to see if sperm will respond properly to “fallopian tube environment” – July 08 Passed! 5/08 Testing for Lymphoma- Negative!!! I just have Sarcoidosis. 8/08 Hysteroscopy and Lap removed polyp from uterus and adhesions to ovary and fallopian tubes, adhesions not previously diagnosed. IUI 1&2 -BFN On to IVF 1/09 1/26 - ER -22 eggs only 9 fertilized 1/31 - ET & 4 snow babys 2/6 HPT 2/10 Beta-256 2/12 Beta-568 3/2 First U/S - One Baby! 3 dogs & 3 cats

Zero response to Clomid. How many IVF did you do before success: Worked on first try! Are you using donor eggs or sperm: No Protocol (meds taken): Lupron, Gonal-F How many follicles at ER: 30 How many eggs retrieved: 14 How many eggs fertilized: 12 (did ICSI) How many days between ER and ET: 3 How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 4 transferred with AH, all 8 cell Symptoms or issues during 2WW: Sore bb's only What day you got your BFP: 8dp3dt HPT before blood test: Yes 7dp3dt, very faint line Number of first beta: 68 8dp3dt Number of babies: Quads, but lost 1 at 9 weeks so now triplets Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! Beta numbers don't always mean the number of babies you have just that your pregnant. Also it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. This was my first IVF and I had issues, I over stimulated on the Gonal F and had to coast a week with no drugs and still had a great turn out.
