Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! I am afraid of needles, but the stim shots weren't too bad. I asked about other options for the progesterone shots and was able to do suppositories even though it wasn't the normal protocol for my doctor. Ask lots of questions!

Never believe unexplained go to an RE that gives you meds to cover everything if that's the case, better to pinch yourself a couple more times than to go through the whole process all over. I'm still in denial that I'm almost 12 weeks with my precious gifts from God!!

Don't loose hope! Get a second opinion and pray God does answer prayers!

Hi Carolina, Congratulations Do you think that the reason you werent getting pregnant before was because of Nk cells, is that along the same lines as an overactive immune system?

To be honest NO I can't say that was my main reason
I just think was a cocktail of medicine and the doctor taking a look into everything closely. I was also diagnosed with MTHFR (blood clotting disorder) it was mild but it was there. My RE though that I was getting pregnant but lost it too too early to realize that I was even pregnant. I truly believe that was happening to me only because I use to be late on my and when it showed up it was very very heavy with B C. My point is that even though I don't think it was only the NK but I got treated for it, I don't think it was only the MTHFR but I got lovenox for it. Also I heard SIRM labs are very high tech and even though I got less eggs fertilized I got 3 more blast than last time. Please feel free to PM if any further questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them as best to my knowledge.

Symptoms or issues during 2WW: I always read here about the cramping and I had cramping with all the previous failed IVFs. The difference was the intensity and duration of the cramps on this last IVF. It really felt like the first day of AF.

HPT before blood test:After so many disappointments I swore that I wouldn't, but I did . On day 9 I think.

Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: Ohhh, so many things! First of all to keep on trying even when you feel like giving up. God has a plan. On the IVF that worked, I got a bad cold the day of the transfer, could not have bed rest and had a stresful audit at work. I was doubtful that it would work after all of that, but it did!! Another thing is to know that the betas do not necessarily have to double for a healthy heartbeat. Also, that the PIO shots are not as bad as they say if you do them right. And last, that the worrying does not end after the first beta!

Protocol (meds taken): 8 vials a day of Bravelle (I used a few others as well cause I tried the European meds and had a bad reaction to one of them so I changed to Bravelle after already starting. So I also took Menopur for a few days and I can't remember the other ones). I think the total daily dose was 600 IU (I think it is IU???) Also did 20 units of Lupron twice daily, Endometrin 100mg suppository twice daily after transfer, baby aspirin and the regular antibiotic treatment before IVF.
How many follicles at ER: We thought there was 2 mature going into retrieval but there ended up being 4. Which was good cause 1 of the larger follicles didn't have an egg in it.
How many eggs retrieved: 3
How many eggs fertilized: All 3!
How many days between ER and ET: 3

Given the ups and downs, especially since I thought there were only 2 follicles going into retrieval.
