Treatments you tried before IVF: 4 IUIs with clomid and also clomid with no IUI How many IVF did you do before success: Second time worked so don't give up. All my numbers and Dh always looked good. Re could not figure out what was wrong. Are you using donor eggs or sperm: NO Protocol (meds taken): Lupron.. How many follicles at ER: See below: ER 17 follies, 12 (good) (none frozen from this round) How many eggs retrieved:12 How many eggs fertilized: 3 How many days between ER and ET: 3 How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 3 transferred,3 all grade 1, 2 6cell and 1 8cell. (fresh not frozen) Symptoms or issues during 2WW:- Bad gas, felt full feeling , tired What day you got your BFP: I saw a faint line at 8 days past ET. HPT before blood test: Yes..come on! And it said ++++ Number of first beta: #1 BETA-1042 Number of babies: 1 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: It can work on the second try…I kept seeing all the girls on here with it working on the 1st try and I was really stressed about it. I also had strep the week and day of ET..but it all worked out. Also I have no problems found…I kept looking for a problem and there was none. Good luck have faith! It was worth every shot and black and blue mark on my belly! Don't let the meds scare you. I also suggest not telling your friends. Due in August 2009!

Seems like everyone on here ends up with an issue with friends. Once I knew a girl who told her best friend she was doing IVF and she said "Don't you think you are playing god". I really think you just don't get it until you go through it. There is so much pressure with IVF and stress in life...the last thing you need is everyone asking every month did it work did it work. They say at around 10 weeks pregnant you can tell family and friends but when you are going through this process everyone will want to know the day you find out. Also many girls vent on here about what people say and they really regret that they told people. Good luck!

TWW grrrr, hpts?
I am new to this, 1st IVF, in 2WW going crazy took hpt 7,8 &9dp3dt and all were BFP (digital tests, 50 right? I swear I had these on hand!) My beta is in 2 days and I'm trying to decide if testing again on Thursday will give me a definate answer or I am just driving myself insane and I should wait for dr. am I nuts to be even doing this?

It is a process that is difficult to go through but once you get your baby or babies it is all worth it.

It can be really hard and really stressful. I had tons of red bleeding two days before my ultrasound and was so stressed but everything was ok. Also, I worried that none of my embies would implant since low cell count but two did. You just never know. Unfortunately worrying doesn't end on postive beta. Also, 2 WW is so hard but don't freak out over lack of symptoms (I know, that's impossible), it's so early!

Don't give up. I was given a 90% chance of getting preggo my first IVF. I put 3 back and got a BFN. I got a new RE and my BFP.

Also did acupuncture, cut out all soy and alcohol 3 months prior to retrieval How many follicles at ER: 10-12 How many eggs retrieved: 16 How many eggs fertilized: 13 How many days between ER and ET: 5 How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2 early blasts transferred, 3 blasts frozen on day 6. The frozen ones were 1 grade 1 (best) and 2 grade two (average) Symptoms or issues during 2WW: none, but my 2ww was only 6 days! What day you got your BFP: 6dp5dt HPT before blood test: no, too chicken Number of first beta: 15 Number of babies: 1 perfect little baby due 11/06/09 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process? Don't stay with a mediocre RE! I wanted an re that was DOING research rather than going off of someone elses research! If they're taking a canned approach, say buh-bye! You're paying way too much for this to get a canned approach. The needles really aren't bad, and I'm not a needle person. Make yourself heard if you don't feel like you're being heard. Do your research so you can talk to the Dr. intelligently if need be to get your point across... Get a consult from one of the SIRM clinics, they're the best in my opinion!

Didn't get grades, but 1 was "perfect" and the other was "okay". 1 to freeze.
