1) Think Positive
2) Use the threads for support - The ladies are great
3) Know that you will be hormonal and on an emotional rollercoaster and it is normal!
4) Try to relax and take care of yourself as much as you can
5) I was very sick with a sinus infection starting at the egg retrieval and going through the first 4 weeks. I thought that with all the sneezing that my babies would not implant and I was so sick I was misrible. Well, you know the result. So regardless of whatever is going on there is hope for a miracle.
6) I ate pineapple smoothies for a week after ET and warmed my feet for about 2 weeks while stimming. The ladies on my thread said that the pineapple helped with implantation and the warm feet helped build a good lining for implantation.

Sending prayers up for all the ladies that are going to join me on the IVF rollercoaster. May your dreams come true!!!!

First IVF was succesful!!!!. Had 4 grade 2 Embryos transferred on 10/02/09. Had ICSI and assisted hatching done. On 10/12 blood test confirmed . Hcg levels are rising more than great But still very scared to loose my baby. Can't wait for my US on 11/02.

Hcg levels not doubling, scared
05/20 fisrt US no sac, nothing visible in uterus still had faith
05/22 second US nothing visible in uterus hcg at 3000. Dr suspects ectopic. Ectopic confirmed by 2nd opinion.
05/28 had my ectopic removed via laparoscopy, dr discovered my tubes were damaged. Advised to move on to IVF.
06/09-09/09 BCP

09/14 Begining of IVF shots (lupron)
09/29/09 egg retrieval 12 eggs..developed OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome)
11 eggs fertilized with ICSI, all grade 2 embryos
10/02/09 4 embryos transferred
complete bed rest for the following 3 days.
10/06/09 cramping and very nauseous
10/07/09 nausea getting worse, very sensitive to smell cramping continues
10/09/09 took hpt cannot believe it so not very excited
10/11/09 took another test
10/12 first Hcg test 168!!!!! I'm pregnant
10/14 second hcg test 495!!!! maybe twins the doctor thinks!!!

Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! we got our two treatment options in April, and took until late july to make a decision about what to do....we did not want to waste a lot of time and money on the less invasive treatments. When we finally decided on IVF with donor eggs, it was freeing. Choosing a donor was kind of a weird process. We saw a psychologist as part of the process and I talked with a very supportive friend that had been through it as well. I think talking to each other about your feelings is key to getting through this without it stressing your marriage....
