That it isnt as bad as some people have said, I was almost not gonna do it b/c I was going the adoption route and so many adoptees said it was a waste of money and time. I'm glad I took a few monthes off cleared my head, b/c everythng worked out beautifully and at the right time. I would do this all over again no matter how frustrating and long the infertility world seemed! Best of luck to all

Always keep faith and remain positive. I wish it was still easy even after receiving a BFP.....its never easy. We had success on our 2nd IVF attempt. Thank you God! How many IVF did you do before success: 2 Are you using donor eggs or sperm: No Protocol (meds taken): Lupron, Menopur, Gonal F and Progesterone How many follicles at ER: 20+ How many eggs retrieved: 12 How many eggs fertilized: 7 How many days between ER and ET: 5 How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 1 Blastocyst, 1 Compacting, and 1 Morula Symptoms or issues during 2WW: I had minimal symptoms- runny nose, hot flashes, upset stomach What day you got your BFP: 08/29/2008 (officialy by the doctor) HPT before blood test: Yes Number of first beta: 1,003 Wahoo! Number of babies: TBD Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! I never knew how complicated it could be to get pregnant with the help of IVF. I went into it thinking it may take a few tries so I was not a basket case when I got the BFN earlier this summer. Fortunately, #2 was our lucky cycle.

My OB put in a cerclage. Thank goodness I made it to 26 weeks! Most of the docs didn't think I'd make it that far! 01/31/2009 Babies were born at 26 weeks: Carson 1 pound 15 ounces Kendall 1 pound 14 ounces 04/27/2009 Kendall is home. Carson is still in the NICU.

hiya my partner and I are changing from iui to icsyi we have just come back from the hospital heads spinning a bit lots of info. We have had 2
iui.We are going back on to the 12th for paper work, we are still fighting allowing us to have the treatment  so just need a rant and rave as we have limited clinics as we physically have noi problems we are just two females who want a baby and sometimes it feels like we are the only people have done this by the hospital. Finally they have agreed but have not had much imput yet as to what icsyi is can any one shed any light for me?Thanks. P.s sorry for the rant!!

Basically, the heads of his sperm are not shaped correctly for penetrating the egg. They were getting to the egg, but not able to make it in. ICSI completely bypasses this by allowing the embryologist to inject the sperm directly in. Hope this helps! BTW, we love ICSI b/c it produced our sweet baby girl who was born 4 weeks ago!!
