I have a question about PIO shots - what is the best way to do them where they hurt the least amount? Plus, I am going to have to give them to myself for a few days while i am traveling...any tips - probably my biggest worry right now (who knows why...).

Number of babies: It's Twins! Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! I never knew how complicated it could be to get pregnant even with the help of IVF. I went into it thinking it may take a few tries so I was not a basket case when I got the BFN earlier this summer. Fortunately, #2 was our lucky cycle.

My OB put in a cerclage. Thank goodness I made it to 26 weeks! Most of the docs didn't think I'd make it that far! 01/31/2009 Babies were born at 26 weeks: Carson 1 pound 15 ounces Kendall 1 pound 14 ounces 04/27/2009 Kendall is home. Carson is still in the NICU.

We were also told the remaining 5 surviving would not be freezable, but they froze 3 the next day anyhoo! Symptoms or issues during 2WW: none What day you got your BFP: 8/12/2008 HPT before blood test: No (I wanted to though) Number of first beta: 56 What day you got your 2nd BFP: 8/15/2008Number of second beta: 96 Number of babies: 1 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process!: Make sure you have a good support network. Sometimes you and the hubby may not be enough. It took me a while to be able to bounce it off someone else and that was a huge stress reliever. Sometimes another girl can help a lot.

My success story is below... I'm so excited.
Please help me feel better that my first beta was 54 and second was 97, some of you all have significantly higher betas. This makes me nervous. Why do some people have 1st betas well over 100????

All went good. 12/23/08 Ob Appt. 12/26/08 Full Amnio Results - NORMAL yippee!!!! 02/21/09 Passed glucose tolerance test, great!! 03/04/09 27 weeks, what a milestone!!! 03/26/09 30 weeks, another great milestone!! 05/07/09 Alazne Rose born at 36 weeks due to complications of preeclampsia (no Nicu time needed). My husband and I rented tons of movies and just vegged out starting from the retrival til 2 days past transfer. After that plan light activities to keep your mind busy. The more I sat around, the more negative I thought. DON'T tell people the day of your procedure. Our friends and family knew, but were pretty good about not bothering us. Some did get a little pushy after a few weeks. We simply said we will let you all know in a few weeks wether or not we will be pursuing adoption.

What day you got your BFP: 18 days past retrieval HPT before blood test: Nope! Number of first beta: 345 Number of babies: 1 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process: I educated myself pretty well before we started, so I highly recommend reading everything you can about the process. I guess the only thing I didn't know is just how stressful it would be. Of course the time has flown by, so I hardly remember the worst of it by now!

When you are trying to get pregnant, you worry about getting pregnant. When you are pregnant, you worry about miscarrying or having issues with your pregnancy. What day you got your BFP: 09/22/2008 POAS, 9/26/08 (Bloodwork) HPT before blood test: Yes- I am terrible. Number of first beta: 225 Number of babies: It's Twins! Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! Are you using donor eggs or sperm: No Protocol (meds taken):Lupron, Gonal-F and Menopur How many follicles at ER: ? How many eggs retrieved: 28 How many eggs fertilized: 21 How many days between ER and ET: 5 How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2 AA, not sure how they rate them but he said they were excellent. Symptoms or issues during 2WW: Tender bbs, tired, needed to urinate a lot! What day you got your BFP: HPT 6dpt HPT before blood test: Yes Number of first beta: 9dpt= 259 Number of babies: 2 Anything else you would have wanted to know before you started this process! How I did so much research on IVF and very little about once you actually conceive. I had a bleeding scare (bright red) and went to the ER and found out that the babies were fine and that it was the placenta attaching deeper into the lining. That bleeding is common but definetly let your doctor know. The stress does not stop so stay calm and use the support from others.
