Cathy...I'm so excited for you and will keep my fingers crossed!! Are you going to do another round of Clomid? How many follies did you have the last time? When you go for your CD3 u/s, be sure to ask them to count your antrals. Then if you have to go another round you kind of have a baseline so you can see your improvement (I regret not doing that for the first two...if this cycle didn't work we were going to count and if it was a good number, switch to stims). I was getting u/s for over 3 years and after taking the RJ/BP for one month I was so excited when I saw my CD3 u/s. I knew, but asked what all those black dots were and they confirmed they were antrals. In 3+ years I never saw that. That's why my RE was so impressed and told me to keep taking it.

If the cyst is gone, then yep, my plan is to take 200mg of Clomid and do b2b IUI's. I had four follies...but only one really dominant one. I was pretty disappointed. In the past I've had at least two that were good sized, but this last time...One great one and 3 so-so ones. So, we'll see. I just want to respond better. Have plumper follies. More targets. I even have DH taking it. (He hates it but takes it with a smile). He had a follow up SA last month, just a few weeks after he started taking it and he had marked improvement...I don't know if it was in part to the RJ or not, because our RE has him on some other vitamin drink, plus a multi-vitamin...so it could have been the combo of all.
I'm pretty excited to see what happens next week.

I had heard of RJ and went out to find some but the only stuff I could find is in a gel capsule that you can take a few times a day. Do you think the gel caps have the same effect or should I order the liquid form?

Also, The Infertility Cure mentions spirulina and chlorella in many of their diets and I heard about this powder called Green Concentrate. You put a teaspoon of this stuff in your juice or shake and its full of essential antioxidants for overall health and contains many of the ingredients suggested for fertility. I know a couple of ladies who had a naturopath suggest this stuff.

After reading The Infertility Cure and seeing an acupuncturist, I truly believe in Traditional Chinese Medicine for Fertility.

Oh! And I also downloaded a meditation mp3 for Infertility from Natural Solutions for Coping with Stress and Improving Women's Wellness that I listen to before bed.

HI everone .. I just read this thread. I went on line to see if it made sense for me to get this although I'm already in my two week wait. If you go the very bottom of the info. at the Vitamin Shoppe page it says ....

Berberine-containing plants, including Barberry, Goldenseal, and Oregon Grape, should not be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Accordingly, I'm sure it's fine up to transfer, but I'm guessing he RE will have an opinion after that. Has anyone heard one way or the other?

If so, I did a search on the page and can't find the info you listed. Are you sure you weren't looking at another RJ/BP combination? Also, I wouldn't start taking it now if you're already in your tww. I stopped taking it when I got my BFP primarily because pregnant women shouldn't have honey. I hope you don't even have to consider taking it in the future and hope this cycle was it for you!

I am doing my second FET in September. I decided after my last chemical that I would give my acupuncturist 3 months to get me right - I have kidney yang and spleen qi deficiencies. I am on a strict diet, starting yoga, taking herbs and having acupuncture once a week.

I will be sure to ask her this when I see her this week, but I'll ask you, too. Have you found in your research anything on the benefits of the RJ/BP with implantation? I am not stimming this time, but my issue seems to be holding onto the pregnancies anyway.

I'm already doing so much with the TCM, a little shot of jelly won't hurt anything! Thanks!

Carie - I had no idea that pregnant women should not have honey. WOW! Hey so I take a teaspoon of the stuff that you recommended in the morning. I just read the jar and said 1-2 times a day. Did you take it both in the morning and at night?

Hi Brandi...

I have never read anything where it specifically mentions helping implantation. The main benefits that I found is it restores and rejuvenates tired or ageing sex glands in both male and female. This is because it contains natural hormonal substances that stimulate and nourish the reproductive system. It also can stimulate ovarian function and increase the biological value of the egg and can significantly improve sperm production in men. Although, because it can help regulate your hormones... that might naturally help the implantation. I didn't even need to go on estrogen or progesterone supplements when I got my first BFP bloodwork and I haven't since. My RE was pretty surprised by that too!

Kelly...yes, I did take a teaspoon in the AM and PM. As far as pregnant women eating honey...it's one of the 50/50 things. You definitely shouldn't give it to a baby under one because their gut flora isn't strong enough yet. Most websites say that it is safe when you're pregnant (because our gut flora can fight off any botulism spores), but it seems many OB's tell their patients not to eat it. So, I chose to be on the safe side.

I wonder if it is too late for me.. I have been on Bravelle and Menopur since Wednesday.. I went for my sonogram today, and they told me I need to up the Bravelle form two to three. Wonder if this would help?

Hi Elizabeth....I wouldn't start taking it now. It is best if you can give yourself a couple months of taking it before you do any procedure. I would say you should take it for at least one month before doing anything. From what I've read, it works best if you take it for three months prior. This makes sense since it take 3 months for your follicles to cycle through and surface. I'm no expert, but I don't think you would get the bang for your buck if you only took it for a couple of days. I hope this cycle works for you!

....just noticed Carie beat me to this

I wouldn't start it now not only because it is pretty late in your cycle but because some people have allergies to bee pollen. I would be worried about starting anything new in the middle of my cycle. You never know how it may affect you.

Also, I think it's pretty common to have your meds upped during a cycle. Did your RE tell you the number and size of the follicles?
