My royal jelly arrived yesterday!!!!!! I took a teaspoonful (and gagged even though it wasn't that bad of a taste but the texture) but forgot this morning as I was running late.

Carie- Did you take it during the 2ww? Is it safe then?

I picked some up too. I also gagged. Do you think I could put it in my morning smoothie? I hope so.

Mia...yes, I did take it during the tww. I stopped when I got a positive POAS.

Amy...did you get the stuff I had in my link or did you get straight Royal Jelly? I've heard the straight RJ is pretty nasty. If you are using the stuff I linked too...I'm not too sure that I would put it in a smoothie as it says on the bottle to not refrigerate it. It's best to leave it and take it at room temperature.

I found that after putting the teaspoon in my mouth I smashed it with my tongue (didn't swallow anything) and then just gulped it down with cool water. I didn't think it tasted bad at all...takes exactly like honey. It's just super sweet and thick, but after awhile it was no big deal. It's a shock to the system at first, but you guys can handle it!! You've dealt with shots in the butt...right?!?!?

This is true I have had several shots, thighs, belly, and butt. I will have to try your technique of smashing with the tongue. I finally just swallowed the whole glob with water after a gagging spell.

Carie- I may need to PM you about the whole instead cups thing, I am a little confused. And I want to try at least once having Dh put the soldiers in the cup, kinda like an at home insemination. If my RE only knew.

Hey Carie...

I just wanted to tell you that I think the Royal Jelly has helped already...it's been a bittersweet week...I went in for my day 3 u/s yesterday, and though my one cyst had gone away...another sprouted up...UGH. Anyway, the u/s showed I had 9 antral follies on the ovary that was cyst free. They don't count the ones where the cyst is present so I don't know about my left ovary...but they were excited to see the 9 on my right. The bitter part is my cycle is cancelled AGAIN due to the dreaded cyst. But I was very encouraged about all the "dots" that I saw.
Thanks!!!

Look at that baby grow...so happy for you!!! Go Royal Jelly!!!!

When you go for your CD3 u/s, be sure to ask them to count your antrals. Then if you have to go another round you kind of have a baseline so you can see your improvement (I regret not doing that for the first two...if this cycle didn't work we were going to count and if it was a good number, switch to stims). I was getting u/s for over 3 years and after taking the RJ/BP for one month I was so excited when I saw my CD3 u/s. I knew, but asked what all those black dots were and they confirmed they were antrals. In 3+ years I never saw that. That's why my RE was so impressed and told me to keep taking it.

I SO hope this works for you!! If it does...you'll have to get the little bumble bee ticker too! That can be our team mascot ladies Keep us posted!!

Hi Carie~ I hope your pregnancy is going well. I think the royal jelly may be helping me too. This month I'm doing a nonmedicated cycle and I have 2 follicles, one on each side that I will ovulate.

Teagan873, thanks for the info on the Royal Jelly. I have been taking it for almost a week now and you are right--It tastes like honey and not too bad after a day or so of getting use to it. Thanks again. I think that I will be doing IVF #3 in August or Sept. we'll see if it brings on some good results.

I think you also mentioned the book, "The Infertiliy Cure" I checked it out from the library and found it very interesting. I am trying to change my diet too. Thanks for all the great tips and keep them coming!

AWESOME news everyone!!!

Mia...feel free to PM me about the Instead Cup questions...I'm no expert, but I'll tell you what worked for me.

Cathy...sorry about the cyst, but WHOO HOO!! on all the antral follies!! ...9!!

Deanna...2 follies on your own is wonderful!!!

I am so excited for you all . It is getting exciting to hear about the results so far. Hey...do me a favor and add the date you all started taking RJ/BP to your signatures so we can see how long you've been taking it when you update (Cathy...add your 9 follie update too!).

Chelsea...the Infertility Cure book is encouraging...isn't it? It really helped me to feel like I could take control of my situation. It's hard for a RE to bunk it because the provider who wrote the book is an OB/GYN and schooled in TCM. I felt like I was 1 of 200 cattle at my first RE's office and always felt like something was missing or that I forgot to ask this or that. I was always just going along and doing what I was told. After reading the book, changing my diet, regularly walking to increase blood flow, surrounding myself with positive people, and constantly thinking that I KNOW this will happen for me ("your thoughts become things"...The Secret)...I switched RE's and pretty much ran my own show. Luckily they were super supportive (after 3 failed IVF's I think they were just humoring me in the beginning ).

If you see in my signature...I had an u/s this past Monday and we actually saw the baby moving its head, arms and legs at 8w5d! It was so amazing to see that when you think that it's only about 1 inch big! The nurse said we would probably see the baby move, but I certainly wasn't expecting that. The baby was positioned as if it was facing us...right when the nurse inserted the probe we saw the movement...the head was going from side to side and the arms and legs looked like they were waving and kicking (as much as little nubs can ). Then it would stop...then start wiggling around again. I have my first OB appt today, but judging from what other girls have said, I more then likely won't get another u/s today. I'm hoping that considering I would be high risk after this month that we will have more than the usual number of u/s.

Anyway...I'm so excited about all your good news! Keep your eye on the prize ladies and work toward your bumble bee ticker!!

Hey, I'm glad to know it isn't just me who gags! If you shoot it with a small amount of water, it's much better.

cocosmama,

I'd be interested in anything you guys come up with on implantation too as my sister had that problem...eggs were great but just days letter she would get her period. Seemed to be an implantation issue.

I've jumpted on the RJ train as well. Used the link Carie provided and it came yesterday. Doesn't taste bad. I used the "Carie" method and getting past the texture was the hardest part. So I've added it to my daily regimen. I also have to tout The Infertily Cure book. It is such a huge resource of information. I pray my 4th IVF ends in a BFP. Good luck to all of you.

Hi ladies~

DH and I started RJ/BP today...... for next IVF round in the fall. Thank you all so much for sharing your "tips"......I agree, the texture is the worst part.

Also, I picked up Propolis ~ has anyone ever taken or heard of this? Let me say, the texture and taste is a lot worse than RJ/BP!!
