Thanks Kelli All I have to say is when you guys get your BFP...don't trust the Chinese calendar! Besides that DH and I always felt like we would have a girl first...it's been that way in my family forever too. I'm excited to have a "little man" to take with me to Home Depot (I'm the one with the tools in our household...DH doesn't have a clue!

to you all!!

Ok, so I finally got the go-ahead from my RE to take DHEA-he said he doesn't know that it will help, but that it can't hurt!

And the go ahead from my allergist (bc I am allergic to bees) to take the Bee Propolis, or the RJ/BP formula that Teagan posted the link for.

My question is, which one should I take-the propolis or the RJ/BP? (I have mild endo., and our embryo quality wasn't great last ivf).

What do you all recommend?

LGB...I would take the RJ/BP in honey AND the propolis. You'll obviously need to get the propolis in another form. Since you're allergic to bees...just be sure to take 1/2 teaspoon of the RJ/BP the first morning. Then another 1/2 that evening (around dinner) and add the propolis the next day or two. Just so you can see if either one causes a reaction. Good luck to you!

I continued taking it until I got BFP, but that was because I didn't want any "gaps" during the three months of taking it before we "really" tried. I was going to take the Clomid the 3 months that I was taking the RJ/BP then switch to injectibles if we didn't get BFP, which I wasn't really expecting to at all.

If you already stopped you may as well just wait to see how things turn out before taking it again. Good luck with your transfer tomorrow Kelli!!

I have a question for you all - I've been taking RJ/BP for 4 months now. I've recently changed RE's and their policy is to stop all herbs when you start stims...I want to follow their advice but I'm actually afraid that this will be damaging since I've been taking RJ/BP so long...I mean, will there be a bad effect on my eggs if I stop when they need it most. I haven't specifically asked them about RJ/BP just b/c I don't want them to tell me to stop and then I directly won't listen to them...this way, I continue thinking they never said anything about it (I mean, its not an herb!). Anyway, my question is -how many of you took it through ER? Did you feel like your results were better? did any of you stop taking it when you started stims? What was your result?

Thanks:-)

I actually have the same question. I just ran out of RJ/BP yesterday and was wondering whether I should but another bottle when I only have a few weeks left before ER.

I am officially on the RJ/BP/Propolis bandwagon! I got it in capsule form with all three together including korean ginseng (?).

I just decided to go ahead and try the capsule form to make absolute sure that I am not allergic before investing in it in honey. It wasn't very expensive, only $14 for a bottle of 90. It says to take 2 capsules 1-2 times a day.

I am so over ART and ready for adoption, but I decided that this couldn't hurt. I also want to say that I am eating better and working out-I've lost 10 pounds total, so I hope that helps.

hey all
new to this thread. i just found out thurs that my first ivf failed but this thread has motivated me to buy RJ/BP to start prepping for my next cycle which will be in jan.

does anyone know about CoQ-10? what does it do? how much should you take?

in addition to my lining issues (which improved a TON after starting acupuncture 2 mos ago) my dr now thinks I have an egg issue. i had 2 m/cs last year and no pg yet this year - been doing medicated cycles for 14 mos and nothing. i'm 31 years old. anyway i am on the absolute highest dose of stim and only had 3 eggs on my first ivf. hoping the RJ/BP will help for next cycle. but what about this CoQ-10 stuff?

thanks and best of luck to all!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your failed cycle. It's frustrating when you have more than one thing you need help with (lining and egg quality).

COQ10 is an anti-oxidant. I'm not good at explaining the link between anti-oxidants and reproduction, but when my accupunctuirst found out I had DOR, she encouraged me to take COQ10, a second anti-oxidant, and I ate a diet high in anti-oxidants. I think I only took one COQ10 pill a day, but I'd check the bottle for dosage. Here's an article that explains the link:
Antioxidants may boost fertility: Parent: Getting_pregnant: fertility_problems

'And an excerpt:
The reproductive process in men (i.e. the production of millions of sperm cells) and women (i.e. the production of an egg cell) involves a great deal of oxidative energy which in turn generates high levels of reactive oxygen species (which can be likened to harmful 'waste products').

To combat the potentially harmful effects of the reactive oxygen species, the bodies of human males and females use a number of antioxidant defence systems, namely vitamins A, C, E, coenzyme Q10, glutathione reductase and superoxide dismutase (vitamins and enzymes).

In view of this and the benefits obtained in veterinary medicine with antioxidants, it would seem logical that human infertility may also be linked to low levels of antioxidants and that supplementing with antioxidants could improve fertility."
