I'm taking it on my acupuncturist's advice for egg quality and I think it might be the nastiest thing I've ever drank.

Has anyone found a tolerable way to get it down?

I ate royal jelly that came premixed with honey. I thought it was delicious. I was going to put the honey in my tea or something but I ended up just eating it by the spoon full

I took royal jelly (actual jelly) for three months prior my last IVF cycle. It was just a teaspoon full daily and it was not all that bad. It was organic from Whole Foods and needed to be refigerated.

Thanks for the quick responses! I will try eating it straight or putting it in tea. Before, I was mixing it in lukewarm water, per the jar's instructions, and it tasted strange to me.

Congrats on your daughter, Hopeful. I'm encouraged by your success, so I will stick with the bee pollen!

Just beware. The royal jelly that I had said to NEVER mix with anything hot!

I started taking Royal Jelly and Bee Pollen (RJ/BP) per the Infertility Cure book 2 months ago. The Infertility Cure: How Nutrition Makes a Difference

The first month I didn't tell my RE I was taking it until after they did the follie count on 100mg Clomid...I had 7. The month before that (with the same amount of Clomid...I had 1-2 follies.). They were pretty surprised and I ended up confessing to my RE and the nurses...they were pretty enthusiastic about the results and told me to keep taking it.

I've been told by two RE's that I have "poor egg quality, low ovarian reserve, poor stimmer, etc., etc." I usually have a high E2 and FSH on CD3. With this last cycle my CD3 bloodwork came back in the normal range. I have never received a "normal" verdict in the 3+ years of IF. Again, my RE was shocked and told me to keep taking it ...they say your optimal result takes 3 months.

Anyway...I POAS tonight and actually got a BFP. I'm not counting my chickens yet...I'll do another in the morning and call the RE for bloodwork to confirm. I'm kind of in shock because after $30+G on IF treatments...$40 worth of RJ/BP has given me amazing results.

Here is the stuff I'm taking. I take a teaspoon in the AM and PM and wash it down with water. Both are mixed together in honey (no foul taste at all...it's just really sweet, thick/cloudy honey...I got a jar that tasted funny once and took it back...I think it was rancid). I was also labeled a poor responder, low egg reserve and poor quality. I had the best cycle of my life this last one. I have acupuncure and bee products to thank for that.

Thanks!...we'll see how it goes tomorrow. I am so thankful for that stuff (RJ/BP)...I would be willing to be their poster child for free

I also drank decaf green tea every single day (I brew it in my coffee pot with 4 tea bags then put it in a pitcher in the fridge) and switched to organic foods....especially meat. You have to wonder if the organic meat made a difference in lowering my E2 since a lot of other meat is injected with hormones.

Wow, Carie! Congrats! I bet you're so excited right now.

You guys have really got me excited over the jelly. I wish I'd been clued onto it earlier. I have ER in a 23 days - hopefully that's long enough for the product to make a difference. If this cycle doesn't work, I'll definitely keep on it for the next. Thank you, bees!

I'm a little worried that I've been doing it all wrong since I have been mixing it with a little bit of pretty warm water for the last month or so.

Carie~It is so great to hear you have had so much improvement in your follicles by using royal jelly. I have DOR and really hope it works for me too. Congrats on your BFP. I saw in your signature you are using instead cups?? What is that for, if I can ask?

Thanks!! I'm still "cautiously optimistic" ...I'll believe it and feel better about it when I see my beta double (because of the ectopic before). I'm chalking this up to the first hurdle being leaped over I did 2 more POAS this AM and both BFP. So, I'm keeping my fingers

Also, about the RJ/BP...from what I've read you get the best results when taking BOTH together. I didn't want to mess with counting out granules of bee pollen and read on other boards that the jelly tasted funky so I went with the combo in honey...and it's organic too.

Since hopeful2b and I got BFP taking the same stuff (there are hundreds of variations out there)...I'm thinking this combo works! I got it at the Vitamin Shoppe.

Also, I had DS (my donor) taking it too. He didn't need to, but I wanted him supercharged (he's one of my best friends and said he was just humoring me . There was a huge difference in volume.
