My mom and I were on our way to church this morning and I was telling her how much I hated Mother's Day (not going on and on I just said it once). She replies with I gonna tell you something you may not like it but I am going to tell you. "Mother's Day is not about you it's about your mother" I told her I knew that but it does get thrown up in my face that I am not a mother. She just doesn't understand. I am still a little upset about the whole thing. I feel like she could be more sensitive. Am I overreacting?

I call my mom on mother's day and always wish her a happy mother's day however my mom knows I take the day to mourn. I had planned on going to visit yesterday plans had to change but I'm going next weekend. It is a day and I celebrate my mom on other days.

I work with children and parents are always telling me to have a happy mother's day. I grin say thanks and leave it. You know it hurts!!!

No you are not overreacting. Mothers day is hard while dealing with IF. Was today the best day to say it, probably not. But your feelings are real and understandable.

Hi Kelly,
I did the same darn thing as you and now i feel like there won't be a success to my IVF so now it's like how I am going to explain this?
cause I have just been alarmed I went to the restroom a few minutes ago and I saw some pinkish brown on the liner I am so afraid now cause I thought I was all good so far I haven't felt any symptoms except thing sharp pin feelings in my right side yesterday just for about 10 solid minutes but they were off and on pin feeling poking like and I am 7dpt so why would this be implantation bleeding, unless they implanted late cause they implant later than the given time I don't know but I am so afraid now I just want to cry now but I can't do that because I don't won't my DH to find out, what's happening to me ladies? My beta is 5/14/08. I was looking back at my IVF cycle I had in 05 and I my notes showed et on 12/16/05 and af show up on 12/27/05 or spotting at the least that resulted in bfn!

Ladies, please do not count yourselves out yet. Seriously, for those of you who are on the study, our beta days are way early as it is. I know that there have been people that have gotten betas over 100 with an early test date, but she might have twins. Remember that most people have to wait until at least 11 days after 5dt for their betas so the hpts can be wrong. Also there have been so many people that have had bleeding up until and after their 2ww that have been pregnant. Please try no to give up!!! I think this Mother's Day holiday is just a little hard on us who are trying so hard to get pregnant. I think it is especially hard to be on your 2ww during this time period. Good luck to us all!

I know!!! This is exactly what happened to me. No matter what are the results of my beta I'd like to have a couple of weeks just for my DH and I to digest everything. But that is NOT gonna happen since pretty much every day someone asks me when I'll know and in what step of the IVF are we.
There's only a friend who I don't mind knowing everything, on contrary, she has been an amazing support for me because she also went through IVF and she really is inspiring for me. But that's it, she really is the only one I am glad that knows it all. But I'll tell you girls, excitement can put you in a bad position. LOL My mom is already planning flying from Brazil and spending 3 months to stay with us when the baby is born to help us out!!!! Lovely as it is I told her not to get her tkt just yet. LOL Sometimes even loved ones with the best intentions can be overwhelming.

PS: No kellyKD I haven't figured out what to tell every one to dodge the bullet yet, I am trying to say that I am not sure yet when we'll know.... but I won't be able to avoid them for too long, I'll have to tell everyone something about the baby by the beginning of June I think.
