Creative Ways to Deliver BFP News to your DH

I won't get my first BETA done until 05/14/2008, but I was wondering what creative ways those of you that have received a BFP delivered the news to your DH or significant other? Anything interesting?

I've thought about wrapping newborn diapers and having them on the kitchen table when he gets home. That's assuming I can wait till he gets home though.

the 1st time i baked a cake and had it say "baby, we are having a baby." i also had a bib that said "i lov emy daddy" sitting right by it.

this time around, i poas way too early just to prove to myself that it was too early and low and behold it was the faintest line i had ever seen. i screamed at him to hurry and come in there. i needed a 2nd opinion and i didn't even think for one second that i could wait and try and tell him in a creative way!

hope you get your bfp!!!

Sometimes I think no plan is the better way to go.... In Dec I got pregnant and was going to wrap the little positive stick in a special Hallmark box that said "yippee" and put it in his stocking. Day before cmas I found out numbers were dropping (2 by PM) and DH came home to me lying in bed crying, and blurting out my silly ruined plan. Sorry, this was a debbie downer entry... I am still a dreamer though, so would love to hear others ideas. I'm always up for a good scheme.

Well I too lacked creativity when I told my ex but with hubby we found out together (went to the doctor cause I thought I had a horrible flu). Anyway I will share what we did with my second to annouce it to everyone....we had my daughter wear a t-shirt saying "I'm gonna be a big sister". My SIL told her hubby by wearing a shirt that said baby and had an arrow pointing down (he completely didn't get it though but I like this idea anyway).

I just found out I was pregnant last Friday and here is what I did. First I told a small fib that my beta wasn't until Monday. When actually I got the call by 4p.m. Friday. So I rushed down to Target bought some I love daddy blankets, booties and bonets and wrapped them up. I also got a card that said you are going to be a daddy. Oh and I also put the 4, yes 4 in one day, HPT's in a plastic bag and put them with the present. When he came home I gave him the gift (he was confused). He opened it and looked at me shocked. I said yes honey we are FINALLY pregnant and he started getting teary eyed. It was great.

Awwwhhh! My twin sister is 5 weeks pregnant (thanks to IUI) when she found out....she wrote "Baby on Board" across her stomach with black eyeliner. Later on, she flashed her stomach to her husband with the news. If we do get a BFP next WED, my husband will be in San Fran working. I'll be in Orlando. I wish he was going to be in town so I could come up with something off the wall or fun! I was thinking about a singing telegram, but can't seem to come up with anything else. It'll all come down to timing as well. I may not have enough time to coordinate that. Hmmmm........

I wanted to plan something so special since it had been 8years of trying, but HPT's got the best of me before my beta this IVF cycle. I took a hpt at 6 & 7 dpt both BFN., and I just knew this cycle had failed. a something hit me at 1:00am on 8dpt to test again and I got the faintest pink line, I had to wake DH up because I thought I was seeing things and I asked him over and over again are you sure this is possible or are we both just seeign what we want to see! So thats how he found out we were expecting.

I lacked creativity.... I basically, jumped on the bed (at 6:00am) screaming that I have a positive HPT. The poor guy, for a few seconds, couldn't figure out what I was talking about!

Nothing creative in our house either. I had done a POAS a few days earlier but didn't say anything when I got the BFP because the tests were a few years old and I didn't trust them. When no AF came still, I bought a new test and still couldn't believe my eyes. When DH came home from the store I asked him for his opinion on something and lead him to the bathroom like a zombie. We both stood there staring at the two lines in stunned silence. We both couldn't get the smiles off our faces, but we decided not to even speak about it because we couldn't bear another disappointment. It wasn't until we heard the heartbeat at around 11 weeks that we started acknowledging the pregnancy.

Maybe text him a riddle? Or ask him to check out the BabiesRUs while he's in San Francisco to see if they carry a special bib you saw online but your local store doesn't carry? Or send a fax to the hotels business center and have it hand delivered to him...maybe putting it in code? LOL

Ok so i am not trying anymore but one day i would like to givea first u/s in a frame for a "your going to be a dady gift" but the first two times i was not smooth at all and got all excited and then never saw a hb so i want to see that before i let anyone else know next time. The first time i couldnt resist testing one day at work it was so strange it was like i had to the urge was saying "you are prego" which was nuts so i went to the bathroom at work and sure enough before i could get it up to my face there it was so i was freaking out and looked like i seen a gost so took it to my friend in her office to get a 2nd opinion called dh and told him to clear out the spare room for a crib then picked up 3 more hpts and went to pee for him at lunch. The next time i brought him home from the hospital after a motorcycle accident and i again had the feeling but didnt really want to know so i didnt even say anything and went and poas and put it in a drawer in the bathroom where i keep my brush and left we got ready for bed i brushed my hair and seen a really faint line and was like "OMG I KNEW IT WERE PREGNANT" not what i had planned lol

I had big plans but ended up each time just kind of screaming and crying and waving a pee stick in his face! Very creative and romantic and memorable, I know. This last time I even made him go buy the hpt because I was spotting and he just wanted to go away on a trip and get drunk so he went and bought it to make sure it didn't work and we were not pregnant, boy were we surprised!
