When is the earliest to have an U/S? I am 5 weeks 1 day today.

I don’t think that there is necessarily an earliest time you can have an u/s but I do think that RE’s like to wait until a sac and fetal pole are for sure going to be prominent. My guess is that most RE’s wait until about 6 or 7 wks before scheduling the initial u/s. Best of luck – I know the waiting stinks.

i had my first u/s at 5 wks exactly and they couldnt see anything at all it was depressing.... since the reason for the u/s was becuse i was bleeding soo we thought i miscarried ....... went bact to the re bout 4 days later and there it was the most beautiful sac ....then we had to wait til yesterday to see if our sac had a heartbeat ....and there it was ..... sooo u might have to wait a bit .....

We were told you can't see anything until 5wks4dys and then the heartbeat appt after 6wk1dy...but i suspect each RE office may be different.

Hi, We did U/S 16 (6 weeks) and 23 (7 weeks) day after transfer.

My RE doesn't schedule the first U/S until 7 weeks.

hi, i'm sure every re is different. i had my first u/s at 5wks3days and saw a little sack with a white circle. I did get to see the heartbeat though. it was amazing!

Mine is going to be on next wednesday. That would be my 6w1d.

My first u/s will be Monday and I will be 5 weeks 6 days. Hope I will be able to see the heartbeat since we will be so close to 6 weeks. Have fun with your u/s!!!

My RE won't schedule the first u/s until 6w.

I had my first u/s at exactly 5 weeks and it was only to make sure that the pregnancy was in the uterus. Believe me when I say there was absolutely nothing to see. It took the RE almost 5 minutes to find the pregnancy. I went back a week later and we were able to see a small sac with the fetal pole and the next week we were able to see the heart beating.
