Hi girls. I would really love to join you for August. I just got a BFN for my June IVF, and am trying to move forward by posting here and joining in with you. We have two beautiful frozen blastocytes and plan to transfer them mid August. I've read most of the posts in your thread and recognize some of you from previous IUI cycles and the June thread. It looks like a fun and encouraging group. I'm glad to be cycling with you all and am for lots of August BFPs.

AF is here!

Hello all! AF came to visit me today! Never been so happy to have cramps. Called RE office to let them know and I get to start BCP's on July 7! I was a bit surprised that I have to wait a week to start them, but that's ok.... I should get my tentative schedule sometime next week. From my calculations, (which could very well be wrong) ER/ET should be near the middle of August! COME ON BFP!!!!!!

For everyone else that is waiting on AF, I hope she shows up soon!

Welcome Lizzie and Latlasan! Lizzie, good for you for jumping right back in!

Lizzie: I am so happy to see you have already started making plans, this FET has got to be your turn. These are your 2 little miracle empops that you didn't even know about, they are truely a blessing, and you are so deserving.

Everyone: Ok, what's your secret? How do you keep up with everyone? I'm seriously about to break out a notebook and start taking notes on all my August girls...maybe I'm just OCD. I'm always reading going "Oh is that the girl who did this or that?" and having to read posts that aren't even a part of this thread to get things straight. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that I do not work, so I'm on this forum oh about every 30 minutes. So I think I read too much or something, but I really want a special bond with my cycle buddies so I'm going to make a conscious effort to get to know you guys better.

Ok, I'm going to work on my "August spreadsheet" (LOL) while waiting for the secret to be revealed. Hope everyone is having a great night.

I actually kept a running word doc for the June thread, and as I read each night, wrote out my responses to the people to whom I wanted to respond. Then I cut and pasted them into a post. You're not all that far off with the spreadsheet! It's so nice to have sweet online buddies to go through this with.

Anyways, thanks for keeping the list mleonard0128, it looks great. I'm on BCP's, but just to keep me regular, so my RE can get me scheduled for the begining of August for ER/ET. So I take my last BCP on 6/28, wait for AF, the start them again on day 3, and those will be my actual cycle BCP's. Wow, I think I'm actually confusing myself here, lol!
So this is my first experience w/BCP's, does anyone know how long it usually take to get AF after stopping them?

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. Monday is actually the 1 year anniversary of my sister's death. We are in the process of adopting her 11 year old daughter who came to live us when she died. My heart goes out to you.

Lizzie - I was so sorry to read about your last cycle, but what a blessing to find out you have frozen embryos to transfer! I admire your strength and spirit through all of this! You were such a leader during our April/May IUI group! Glad to be cycling with you again!

Shannon - lol.... I know what you mean about having a hard time keeping up with everyone. I get really confused with keeping people's screen names and real names straight. Lizzie is easy, because that's your avatar name too...

Still taking the pill.... When I called to get my schedule for IVF, I asked if I was supposed to start BCP's and my nurse actually said to me.. "well, yea, we don't want you to get pregnant beforehand".. I swear... if I could reach through the phone I would have strangled her. If not taking BCP's would just get me preggo... I would have done that awhile ago!

Night!

Lizzie: Love the idea, it’s going to help me out lots! I just printed all of our posts and it was 31 pages long. Could you also tell me husband I’m sweet cuz he’s just not feeling it lately. LOL

MrsJones (Eva): I know what you mean about happy to see AF. When the one came that I needed so I could start all the pre-testing, I thought it was Christmas.

Mnm000: Oh the things medical personnel say to us. Do they seriously think it’s funny, worth a little giggle, pa-lease. When I had my 1st ectopic the anesthesiologist asked me what I had eaten that day and I responded “A happy meal from McDonald’s” and his response I kid you not was “No wonder you had an ectopic!” That doesn’t even make sense to me as a joke, I have a great sense of humor and rarely get offended, but again, it wasn’t even funny. Unfortunately for us we always think of the perfect comeback later when it’s too late. Just keep your head up. I wish they required people who work at these clinics to have had IF issues, maybe then they’d know a little more about what’s funny and what’s not.

If anyone does Yahoo chat, my screen name is shannonkratzer and I’m always around, and bored all the time, so hit me up, or maybe we could start a scheduled chat once a week or something. Who knows? We could have topics that keep us on the positive side, like making our “care package” for the dreaded 2ww, or how we’ll tell everyone we’re pregnant when we get our BFP’s, all kinds of things. Let me know what you think.

Hello ladies, I am hoping to join this group. I start BCP tomorrow with ER scheduled for the first week in August. This is our first treatment and we will be doing IVF with ICSI. DH has severe male factor, I am fine. Our RE is reccommending that we do the TESE and ER on the same day with a 50/50 chance of the TESE being successful. If it is not successful they will cancel the ER at the last minute.

We are VERY nervous, but plan to go ahead and hope for the very best! All we have to lose is $12,000...but we have so much to gain!

Anyone out there have any advice or success stories?

Well I am sorry to hear of your neg Lizzie I've been reading the June and July group post. I just can't understand why it does not happen for everyone with such perfect levels, embies, etc....

About me UGH it is now Saturday and STILL no sign of . I took another pt yesterday at lunch and but no surprise. I really am not stressing about AF coming because I know I am not PG so I just want her to come! So now I am 5 days late and I can say that is RARE...especially not being on any meds as they can mess your cycle up. I am just ready already.....

I WILL UPDATE OUR THREAD LIST TODAY!

Lizzie, it is very hard to loose a sibling, especially when your already very emotional from going through IF. I wish I could say its getting easier to deal with everday, but so far its not. That is so wonderful of you to be adopting your niece, what an amazing aunt you are!

Amy! Sounds like you have a pretty good plan for your cycle. I hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm surprised that your RE doesn't want you to have some kind of backup just in case the TESE doesn't work. Have you talk to them about that?

MLeonard- AF will come! I know how you feel, AF being late is what caused me to be pushed back to August. It can be soooo frustrating! Are there any signs or symtoms yet?

Shannon- I love the speadsheet idea! That so funny. You'll have to keep us updated on how thats going. Maybe we'll have to get a little questionare going for everyone to do.

So I take my last BCP tonight, wait for AF, and then start my cycle BCP's. I'm getting very exciting to know I could officially be starting my first IVF cycle next week! YAY! LOL!
