It is so frustrating especially when your best friend, your young cousin, etc , etc --everyone else gets pregnant so easily. I feel like we've been waiting forever too!! Yes, you're doing shots for about a month. I was so scared to do the first Lupron shot I almost had an anxiety attack and then it didn't even hurt! The shots were not bad for me. But I didn't have to do any progesterone shots last IVF and I heard those could be painful. We'll just have to deal that when we get there... I'm a little disappointed that my ET will be in august and then they do biospies, freeze the embies, and then in October we come back for a FET -- so we'll still be in this together!!

I have never been to NY. I would be great to meet up. I think a girlfriend may come up the first of the week and then obvoiusly my husband the end of the week -- gotta have fresh swimmies!! We'll be there ~7/28 thru 8/3. I can not believe this is you 5th IVF!! I don't know how you deal emotionally and financially!

I also feel like I have been waiting forever. In the mean time, my sister, 2 girls I work with, and 3 of my husband's friends wives all had babies this year. Not to mention his cousin and another girl at work that are currently pregnant and due later this year.

It seems like the only conversation when we get together is about the new babies. I feel like I have nothing in common w/ them anymore.

I am just going to relax and enjoy my summer for now!

Vanna, we are also paying for everything on our own. No help from the insurance, so it's a little more scary. Did you save up for the costs or did you take out some type of loan? I am just curious on how to go about financing the IVF and what kind of interest rate and payment plans they have.

Hello all Sept gals! I am excited to say that we plan to start IVF in Sept also. As soon as we get the ok from our RE in Aug after my hysterscopy. We are sooooo excited and nervous and everything else! This will be our 1st IVF cycle...we started everything before but found out about my condition and had to stop and have surgery. Our that the surgery has worked and there is minimal scarring so we can proceed with IVF. We are hoping to have testing and start BCP in late August or early Sept with the majority of the IVF cycle in Sept.

Daisy and Vanna -- i also have to pay everything out of pocket -- my insurance sucks! Our first IVF was a study and only cost of meds. But now IVF #2 is out of town and all the other costs!! Hopefully we will all get , right?

And I'm really feeling the blues ... my best friend since 8th grade is due to deliver 1st baby anyday. I work at the hospital and I'm so scared I will cry -- b/c I'm happy for her and sad for me, ya know what I mean? I mean that nicely. I don't want her to feel guilty b/c of my situation. It's her day!! Just had to vent...

Yes this group is growing. By the time July and August comes there will be alot more. I was in the June thread but I got . So I'm taking the summer off and then I'm starting again in Sept. I think I will be starting stims around the 2 week of Sept when my comes.

Lisag, I completely understand how you feel about your friend. I'm sure she knows just how happy you are for her. You just happen to be going through something that to know fault of her own doesn't understand. We're here to support you.
Lisag and Daisy2006, paying out of pocket is a nightmare. It unfortunately adds to my anxiety which doesn't help the situation! My husband and I are using our savings which will be tolerable but if it doesn't work, it terrifies me. We are purchasing a package that includes FET the next month. At least it will give us one more chance. I honestly don't know how I'll handle those 2 weeks. I'm so afraid that if I get a cramp or something, I'll freak out. Can any of you tell me about FET? Do you take the same drugs??

My FET's were pretty similar to IVF. No Lupron, but used low doses of Follistim to get at least one good follicle. The last time I started estrace a little earlier because my biopsy showed I was out of phase by a few days. But took my Tetracycline, Medrol and estrace just like I did during IVF. During FET, RE said I could use progesterone suppositories twice a day instead of the PIO shots. For fresh they like to have me do shots, frozen it is my choice.

FET was about the same, just didn't have to have as much monitoring or obviously the retrieval. But my whole bedrest regimen and instructions were the same.

Work usually keeps me busy the two weeks until betas, it was the two between by low betas and the u/s that was the killer.

But hopefully this time things will be different and we all get our .

VANNA- It's been a rough week w/ the $$ -- all the preliminary tests/labs/meds and we're trying to book all our travel plans. Our doc also has OBP (outcome based plan) so you get some reinbursement -- I hope we qualify! Won't know until tests/labs come back.
