Hmm... it seems all RE have different grading scales so I'd go by what they tell you. I know it's super hard not to stress but it sounds like you have some great looking embabies...that's a good thing! Stay strong, you're almost there

Congrats on a great fert. report! I wouldn't worry too much about the grades. Many of the women on this board who have gotten pg had all kinds of "grades." So, don't stress over it. 8 is a great amount of embies!! I'll that they become blasts!!

Satya: I had to cancel my appt today with acupuncturist/herbalist because of Tropical Storm Eduoard. Everyone was closing today in case the storm was bad. I did call and ask though and the receptionist said that it is a mixture of a lot of herbs and they will give me a breakdown when I come in again (in two weeks). I will let you know then. I also found out that their clinic "East Harmony Acupuncture" is the same clinic opened by Randine Lewis who wrote the book "The Infertility Cure". Randine no longer works out of this clinic and solely focuses on her fertility retreats now, but I just thought it was cool that I am going to her clinic. If you haven't read this book before ladies I strongly suggest you pick a copy up. It really does help you. Hope everyone is doing great and looking forward to all of our s in September

My acupuncturist recommended that I read "The Infertility Cure" too. I have not gotten it yet. He was the one who already gave me recommendations from it, like no dairy, taking supplements, eating lots of berries, but no strawberries, etc. I should probably get it. I am starting the no dairy, but some of what you read on infertility and dairy say that eating high fat dairy helps feritility and low-fat dairy inhibits fertility. What do you believe? I thought I would check with my ACP next week and ask him about all this dairy stuff again. Anyway, I am willing to do anything at this point to get ! I have not asked my RE about this dairy thing. She said before that since my weight is good, I shouldn't worry too much. Just no caffeine, alcohol, and calm down on working out.
Skilpt- it will be great being on the same schedule as you. Good luck to us both and we should keep each other posted. Here's a sprinkle for you !

Congrats to those already getting there meds!

I was just curious what everyone else was doing in regard to meds.. Are you going with a local or online pharmacy or are you getting your meds thru your RE?

I ask my acupunturist about dairy she told me not to have that much, I also asked about soy milk (silk) she told me that it is better than cow's milk.

I asked her how much should I drink, She said about 8 oz as long that I'm eat fruit, veg, and eating healthy plus taking my omega's 3-6-9 pills plus vits I'm ok.

I read the infertility cure also but you need to know what the acupunturist has you under, becasue sometimes the problems us women have can over lap each other, so they can be treating us for a number of items.

Iris - i'm getting my meds thru schraft's - which i have found to be the cheapest for the meds that i am on but each pharmacy is going to be a little different - i would call around for the prices

as for the dairy - and all the other stuff - i recently read an article that they know more about cattle fertility and what influences that they do about human - they just irritated me. as for the dairy - i think if you have PCOS or problems ovulating high fat dairy is good for you but i am not sure for everyone. we all have different issues and we are so willing to do anything we can get to our babies i think we go a little crazy sometimes. right now my bed stand is looking more like a medicine cabinet with all the different things i am on. anyway, i hope that regardless of what research we follow we all get our little miracles in the end!!!

Hopeful - You might want to ask your acupuncturist again about soy milk. I told mine that I was using soy instead of cow's milk and he said to not have any soy now that I am in my IVF cycle. I researched soy a little and it said that it is bad for the endocrine system and can cause infertility. I was told I could drink almond milk. I know all of this can be confusing. I guess each of us should do what we are comfortable with because we all do have our own situations. I have undiagnosed infertility, so maybe a change in diet will give me the boost.

Hi ladies, I'm Sara! I was in the July IVF thread, but was bumped to August and stayed on Lupron for 6 weeks due to e2 levels and dr's calendar. Then, I stimmed for 8 days in August before my cycle was cancelled due to a cyst that was eating all the meds. NOW, I should be in the September thread (hopefully!)

I go for cyst aspiration tomorrow, and then will proceed with the antagon protocol. Should be retrieving/transferring the first two weeks of September.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

I get my meds through McKesson. They are really quick and my insurance actually gets a low rate through them.

I'm officially addicted to this site. I check all the threads constantly. I really should be working!
