I am lucky because my insurance covers IVF, except for copays. I was on my DH's insurance last year and they only covered diagnostic work. I am using Caremark for my drugs which is the preferred mail order pharmacy through my insurance. They are through CVS pharmacy. As for my work, not a sole knows. I have a job where I am out doing homevisits all the time, so I am naturally not in the office much. I do all my monitoring appts. before I even start work. When I have to go in for ER and ET I will call in sick, pretend I have a stomach bug that won't go away. I love being at work and nobody knowing. It is none of their business. All my close friends know and our families. They are all very supportive. I don't want my work knowing that I am trying to get pregnant. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hello girls! I have been absent for a bit, I have been in Vegas! DH and I had soooo much fun I actually took my mind off of IVF stuff for a bit! But now back to focusing on getting my BFP! I hope you all have been doing great and moving forward.
I have an appt with the RE on Monday to see how the progress from the surgery is going...

Hey FoxRacer Girl ... so how was the hysteroscopy? I'm having mine on Monday. I'm not too worried, but curious.

My RE told me that I need to have one because he thinks I might have a T-shaped uterus and that I have a very "dainty" womb. (yes, those were his words). I did some research and found out that both of those things are not good. We'll see what they find out at the HSY though. Apparently women with small uterus don't hold babies to term. Thinking positive though!

My TSH was 4.8 and my free T4 was low. I am starting synthroid and am nervous. I hate having to take meds but have to do what is necessary. I can't believe that it was normal a year ago and just a year later....Anyway it will take several weeks to see if the dosage is correct and bringing my levels down appropriately. I am upset because I may not be able to do the Sept IVF cycle. My husband travels and had a very difficult time making arrangements to accomodate Sept IVF, so that may delay us further. I am so frustrated....

Vanna:
The same thing happened to me and it was not my re who found out. Actually, it was the family doctor. When I did not conceive after 3 IUS's she said she suspected that something was wrong. Mine was 3.9. My doctor told me that she believed a level of 2 was ideal. Luckily, she found it out about 6 weeks ago so I started the meds. I am hoping that it will make a difference. When I found out I was VERY upset, especially since my RE did not test my thyroid level. The literature is clear that it can affect conceiving. The good news is it is treatable. With levels such as mine, I saw a difference faster than they said I would. I hope that you get it addressed immediately.I hope it works out for you to proceed.I hope it all works out for you.

Samie, Carrbear, and MOM2BNTEXAS: I am also on the same schedule you are on. I start Lupron on the 17th, stims about the 25th to the 27th. I am pleased that we can cycle together.

Carrbear: I agree with you about avoiding negativity. Before I started TTC I told evryone who mattered. At first everyine was nagging me...by the third failed attempt, everyone kept telling me about the money and adoption. Because I am a single-mother-to-be I thought that I needed to tell everyone so that I could get ready to have a supportive base of people. However, at this point not even my sister calls me to ask me what is going on. I am doing the IVF and now very few people know about it...and I am keeping it that way. At work, I only told my boss, but because of scheduling issues, I had to share with two others. I am not jumping up and down to tell many people anymore.

Samie-I had my hyst. and they cut away scar tissue so it was a little different than you will have but I didn't think it was that bad at all. I am assuming they are just going to look around and find out what is going on? Make sure you eat lots of fiber to keep things moving when you are done...I am still eating fiber bars from the last one! Stay positive about things, the first RE thatI saw said I would never have children and should look for someone to carry for me...now I am one step closer to my BFP!

I have a week then I start Lupon. It is exciting and scary at the same time. I know I start with a few of you gals at the same time.

There is no negativity here. My dad is pretty neg too. I asked him for help in ou journey, with finance, he does have the money to. And he was like well what happens when it doesn't work, blah blah blah. It really pisses me off, you know. Oh well, we are all here for each other.

Hey Sept chicks! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Reading through the posts looks like things are starting to move along for everyone.
I start Estrodial IM shots tomorrow. I was told today that it will definately help with these horrible headaches I've been getting since I've been on the lupron.

So, I had an u/s & b/w this morning at my office. I've been seeing my same RE but he's now at a different clinic so it's been an adjustment. My experience dealing with a new staff of nurses, receptionists, ivf coordinators, etc. Has been interesting. It's a much bigger clinic with mulitple locations. Anyways, so this nurse brings me into the room this morning and says the usual...undress from the waist down, yada-yada. Then she turns to me and asks if I've ever had an ultrasound done? I laughed, I seriously thought she was kidding...she wasn't. She asks me this as shes holding my file which is literally the size of a phone book! Hmmm lady, what do you think? Rediculous.

Any other Sept girls doing FET in Sept? Where are you at in your cycle?

LisaG, I missed a lot of stuff while on vacation. You seem to be doing AWESOME! I sure hope you get lots of blasts on Monday. Is this your best response of all your cycles so far?

Welcome Vanna, Muddysage, Kim, Temika, and Sara!

JonesNicky. I know I am a few days late on your question but CCRM (the supposed best clinic in the nation) prescribes the suppositories now by default over the injections. Personally, I will use both the inserts and the PIO shots because in my first cycle I had a huge drop in progesterone during my 2ww. I agree with historyteach. I would ask for a P4 check a week after you start taking your progesterone.

Samie, my hysteroscopy was EZ. I took all of the ibuprofen before the procedure (30 minutes), they gave me the shot of lidocaine to the cervix and i laid there and went to my happy place. In less that 3 minutes they were done. The long part was waiting for them to set up the room and to lay there afterwards while any gas escaped. I think you'll do ok. It was uncomfortable but not horrible. I had trouble with my HSG but this is simple as pie in comparison.

Hey Michelle!! Sounds like that Lupron is kicking your butt!

Hey Michelle and Sandra, are you going to this month's meeting in about 2 weeks?

I start Lupron on Monday and I am on target for getting a suppression check in 2 weeks. I am nervous. My husband told me tonight that he is scared this round. That we are trying again this month and he is scared of being disappointed again.

Wishing, I took Desogen for two different cycles and it made me super emotional, quick to anger, and easily, easily upset. It also make me hurt my husband's feelings a lot. It happened twice. Another buddy of mine had the same reaction. I am taking something else this round (orthonovum). It took about 2 weeks on the BCPs to become crazy. So warn your husband. I swear I was normal on all of gthe other meds during my cycle.

Vanna, finding out about the thyroid might be your golden ticket! Lots of women fix their thyroid with a little meds and get pregnant naturally shortly thereafter. Good luck in your cycle. :-)

Nese, your story of crying about the dog was so touching and funny and scary. I am petrified of melting into madness come Monday.

Kim, it is totally the BCP. My boobs seem HUGE in just 4 days on them.

Mamasoon: I guess we all react differently to the meds. I have a soft heart anyway... it just gets worse on the meds... I work in IT so it's mostly guys so you know they don't know how to react to me I am not your typical techy like they all are.

Josee- How was vacation? I bet it was awesome to get away! I saw your email this morning about when the Resolve meeting is. I'm free on the 23rd (I think that's the date) just let me know.
Lisa, I have not done an FET before. I've done the protocol for it a couple of months ago but they did a biopsy at time of transfer instead of doing a transfer.
Samie, good luck with your hysteroscopy tomorrow!! I know you'll do fine.
