New to IVF
Oh my what a ride it has been so far. I am 28 and will begin my first IVF w/ ICSI in September. We have been TTC for 6 years. IT has been a up and down ride that led to the divorce of my husband and I
 , however love overcame we found our way back and are facing this road stronger than ever!  We go for our consultation with our RE on Monday. Then we have to attend a class on July 16th. With September being our retrieval/transfer month. I am really nervous but excited reading all the positive stories from ICSI.

ME-28 DH-29  - Simba 5 year old Cocker spaniel this August2002-2003- TTC naturally, told I had PCOS (which was later discredited) Clomid rounds begin  2004- after asking to have DH tested told at that time DH had a good count. 2005- changed docs and during consultation was told that it turns out that the previous doc couldnt read decimal points as DH count was extremely low. 6/2005- DH has varococele repair, failed. 8/05- IUI  2005-2008 BREAK 7/16/08- IVF class 7/23/08- Injection class, waiting for  to start BCP...7/25/08- arrives, start bcp 7/27  8/2008- start medications for 1st round IVF w/ICSI  9/2008- ER and ET

Welcome Jamie
It will be our 2nd ivf but 1st w/ICSI also. I feel ike you -- excited but nervous! Hopefully ER 8/1 but transfer in october.. I'm be here with ya'll for awhile!! Welcome to the group!

hopefuljme-Welcome to the first timers club...we are all anxiously awaiting our time for our BFP and will be there for each other the whole way! For me...still no and am starting to feel very discouraged and hopeless......

Surgery removed 75% of the scar tissue and inserted a balloon stent 6/9 Removal of stent Waiting for to show to ensure we have lining never showed...RE appt. 7/147/18 2nd Hystereoscopy to remove scars7/31 Removal of balloon again 8/11 Office dilation and removal of band of scar tissue...back in a week

Hi ya ladies, thanks for all the welcoming comments. I am getting so excited for our consultation on Monday. We were planning on having a diagnostic TESE done later this month to make sure DH had something to work with. The urologist office called and said that DH needed to have another SA and if they saw even just a few we wouldnt have to have the diagnostic TESE just the one for the transfer (this would save us $900 that could go to our invitro process) so..
. Hope you all are doing well and I cant get wait to get rollin on this so we can all post our experiences as we wait for our  !!!!Lisag- do they often do staggered IVF? If I am not being to personal, can I ask why they chose to do this?

Hi everyone! I will be a late August, early September IVF for #3. I just got a BFN on Monday for my 2nd IVF. I'm taking 1 month off to let my body get back to normal, and I'm anticipating starting injections around mid-August at this point. And with the way I respond to meds, I'll be having my ER in early September.

Jamie- My doc usually does this on most of his patients. Assuming we get embryos/blasts the md will take bx of the embryos and then freeze them. We wait 6wks to get the results and hopefully find out we have geneticallly great embryos before they even transfer them. Pretty much he does tons of tests before and after to make sure the embyros will take! It's kind of hard to explain the technical stuff but he was highly recommended by a md I work with in GA. My friend/md and his wife succeded on their 6th IVF w/ him and the odds were not in the favor! Check out Dr. Sher at haveababy.com if you care to find out more. I have only done 1 previous IVF in a study so all this is way new to me too!! We're just praying it works!!

well i thought i would join the september thread, although i dont' know if i will have my third IVF in sept or october. i just found out yesterday that i lost my second baby and my RE wants to run a wide variety of tests to figure out why i have recurring miscarriages, and i also have to wait for my beta to be at zero and yesterday it was over 5000 - so to keep my spirits high, i thought i would join the rest of the soon to be june mamas!!!
i actually read through the five pages of posts just so i could get to know some of you and it is good but also sad to see some familiar faces, but i know this is going to be our time. Kelli - hey girl, how are you doing? like i said happy to go thru this cycle with you again but wish we didn't have to Nicole - i am so sorry for your loss, i know that there is nothing i can say or do that can take away the pain but please know that there are people who understand your pain and i pray that you will hold your miracle in your arms soon daisy - oh don't i know it that everyone is pregnant, i am a high school history teacher and i have to deal with little girls getting pregnant... i know that it isn't easy but one day IT IS GOING TO BE OUR TURN!!! Lisag - i know that it is going to be hard with your best friend having a baby, i had that happen to my last summer. to be honest i dont' think there is anything that you can do preventing the heartache - went in and held that precious baby in my arms and went home and cried for 2 hours. sweetie you are in my thoughts and prayers Cathie - i just might be with you in October - no where really to hang out but it is going to be all worth it in the end! Karen - can you believe it... wanting AF to show up, isn't it screwed up, most of the time we pray for it to stay away and now we are hoping it shows up, i hope that things work out for you! i know that i missed a lot of you but i am sure that we have time to get to know one another. i hope that everyone has a wonderful 4th and remember to keep the faith that we are going to be June mamas and enjoy next summer with our little one!
