Got AF today and was told to begin BCP this month. I have been like clockwork so I am not sure why I am doing BCP for 2 months? Wondering if I should call just to make sure but not sure it matters. I am definately anxious to get started.

Congrats on , skila!! I know you're ready to get the ball rollin.. I start Lupron on Thursday.. time to get IVF #2 going. We leave for NY in 3 weeks today for ER. Praying all goes well!

?? -- AT THIS POINT, when you're 3 WKS BEFORE ER is there anything I can do to make the eggs mature better and assure we get alot?? Like diet, exercise, herbs (I think its to late to start any herbs), and I heard acupuncture is only good after ET -- should I start now or wait?

Historyteach -- thanx, my friend had her baby girl on 7/1 -- I actually had 3 other girlfriends there when we went the hospital so I made it thru just fine! I held her -- she was beautiful!

I hope everyone had a great holiday! Back to work tomorrow!!

I only know what I was informed by one of the other threads on Royal Jelly plus I did some research on it.
I also read the book called "The Infertility Cure" it helps with chinese traditional medicine and acupunture. I had my first acupunture yesterday it was great and besides she gave me some herbs in pill forms called " HeavenlyWater" . So with everything Sept will be the month (hopefuly). I hope this will help.

Hello Ladies! I've been waiting for a September thread to begin. I was on the June thread but instead of moving to the "we're pregnant" threads here I am. I'm really glad to have more great women to go through this process with. We had our first fresh IVF ET on 6/16. It ended with a BFN. My DH and I have a 3 year old little boy that we conceived with no problems, shortly after he was born my DH had a surgery that left him with no way for his swimmers to get out. We can't conceive naturally and IVF is our only option. We (like so many others) were so sure that this was going to work. I was devestated when it didn't but find myself unable to stay away from the forums, I need to see the positives and the negatives, I hope this doesn't sound bad. I don't want anyone to get a BFN but when they do I don't feel like I'm the only one. Our RE can't get us in again until September. I'm still hanging out with AF, it's been over a week but I expect to start BCP at the beginning of my next AF, hopefully the end of July which means I'll be medicating all of August and go in for ET on 9/9. I will be taking Lupron, Estrogen pills and patches, and the PIO injections. I'm sorry for the long post it just feels good to get it all out and hope someone else out there is experiencing the same things so that we can compare notes.

Any suggestions to make this time work? I've wondered about the Royal Jelly and Acupuncture but I don't know if I can afford to add anymore items to the current financial burden. $19,000 for the first cycle $6,000 for the frozen. I don't know how everyone does it.

i actually read through the five pages of posts just so i could get to know some of you and it is good but also sad to see some familiar faces, but i know this is going to be our time.

Kelli - hey girl, how are you doing? like i said happy to go thru this cycle with you again but wish we didn't have to

Nicole - i am so sorry for your loss, i know that there is nothing i can say or do that can take away the pain but please know that there are people who understand your pain and i pray that you will hold your miracle in your arms soon

daisy - oh don't i know it that everyone is pregnant, i am a high school history teacher and i have to deal with little girls getting pregnant... i know that it isn't easy but one day IT IS GOING TO BE OUR TURN!!!

Lisag - i know that it is going to be hard with your best friend having a baby, i had that happen to my last summer. to be honest i dont' think there is anything that you can do preventing the heartache - went in and held that precious baby in my arms and went home and cried for 2 hours. sweetie you are in my thoughts and prayers

Cathie - i just might be with you in October - no where really to hang out but it is going to be all worth it in the end!

Karen - can you believe it... wanting AF to show up, isn't it screwed up, most of the time we pray for it to stay away and now we are hoping it shows up, i hope that things work out for you!

i know that i missed a lot of you but i am sure that we have time to get to know one another. i hope that everyone has a wonderful 4th and remember to keep the faith that we are going to be June mamas and enjoy next summer with our little one!

Jamie,

I am so sorry that you have to go through another loss. I know what it feels like and I believe that we will hold our angel in our arms one day. You have to keep the faith to continue on this IF journey. I am ready to get started again and I hope and pray that this is our time. I have been following you for a while because I am also a teacher, so we have more than one connection. How do you do IVF and work at the same time? I have not had to do both at the same time but will in September. Good luck!

Nicole

i wish all the best and i pray that we all get to hold our miracles in our arms soon

You are so right about a family meaning more to you than a job - I feel the same way. This upcoming school year will be my sixth year of teaching - so I am also tenure. I am in Louisiana and will be teaching first grade next school year. I was teaching third and loved it. After my preterm labor last October and my pregnancy issues (incompentent cervix), my principal is making me move down because she is worried that I get pregnant again and get put on bedrest for much of the school year. She doesn't want me in a grade that has state testing. I was so mad when she told me but now I think it is a blessing. Since IVF in May did not work, I am doing it in Sept. and will be away from work a couple of days. She is not being as hard on me now because of my move down to first. The stress will be less also. At this point, I will do anything to have a family. Good luck tomorrow. I hope you get some questions answered. I have to go in tomorrow for another beta to make sure my hcg is declining so that I can begin treatment for IVF #4.

Hey all, hope everyone had a good 4th! We are going for our first consultation with the RE today! Have been taking the wonderful Royal Jelly and Bee Pollen for the last week since I was hearing so much about it I thought, "what could it hurt?" Has anyone who has taken this had cramping with it? I think it may be what is causing my technicolor yellow urine too... Please tell me someone else has experienced this lol, I dont know what else it could be the only thing I had to drink yesterday was lots o water. Well I will post later and let you know what we were told at the consultation.

Thanks Karen, this is our first attempt at IVF I dont even know what kind of questions to ask other then the timeline of how this works, and what medications they will be using, and of course how the ER/ET will go...Anyone have any ideas of questions that you wished you would have asked at your first appt?

Thanks again!

well it looks like i am still waiting, i just got off the phone with the RE and since i have not bleed since last wed, they are having me come in for an u/s on wed to make sure that i am miscarrying, talk about torture.

hopefuljme - good luck with your consult. i would ask about success rates for a fresh and frozen cycle. i would also touch base concerning what they do for ER - my last ER would not do anestisia (sp?) but this one does, thank God!!!

i hope that everyone is having a great day

I just wanted to say good luck to everyone in whatever part of this crazy journey you are in.

I am scheduled to start my bc pill after my next period. He also had me start on Metformin. Is anyone familiar w/ it that could maybe answer a few questions? I am just on 1 a day for a wk to start. I fortunately did not get any stomach upset. How long before you start to notice any weight loss? Also, it says on the bottle not to drink alcohol while taking it. I am going on vacation and don't want to worry if I want to have a few drinks. Is that bad? What are the side effects of drinking if you are on it?

Hopeful------Don't be dissapointed if you walk out of the appt and are still confused. I have been to 2 diff docs after we decided to proceed w/ IVF and I left both times still a bit confused. They usually have a class separate from the doctor appt to go over all the details. Some of the things I asked to cut down on my confusion was, #1 (obviously) what week they do the ER #2 What week will I need to start injections and when will I be stopping them #3 When do they recommend I take off work. #4 How long until they do the transfer.

I pulled out my calander and made myself a timeline w/ what needed to be done. Even though I didn't have all the detail of the entire process, it made me feel a little more in control.
