Did anyone find that they gained weight from fertility drugs? I didn't notice it when I did injectibles, but I know that weight gain is pretty common.

If you did gain weight, how much did you gain and were you able to lose it?

I gained weight on clomid probably not because of the meds but because it made me eat everything but the refrigerator which i think i knawed on it once or twice but i lost it back after about 2 months i gained 22lbs in 2 months then lost it in like 3

I too gained 20-25 pounds on clomid!!! So you're so totally not alone!!

I have gained about 15 pounds but I don't know if it is from the drugs or if it is from the stress....I have a friend that told me to not stress about it right now but to focus on the treatments. She told me that I can lose it later...I am trying to be more careful on what I eat but hey....just practicing for pregnancy right???

I noticed that after clomid and all injectibles that I took for IUI's that my breast got larger, don't know if that had to do with the drugs or not?

OH DID I GAIN!!! i had 16 eggs and i laid in bed for weeks afta the trasfer and put on 30 lbs.
Im 4`10 and was 169!!
After lost it then sum and now @ 103.
So its possible 2 take it off

I have probably gained a good 10 pounds in like two months since i have been on Clomid. I NEVER expected to gain weight from this drug. Another reason why I am probably going to discontinue and revert to trying the good old fashion natural way! I hope I can lose what I gained and them some like you lilbit!

I've gained 20lbs in 9 mths, but not from medications - My IUI's are unmedicated. In my case my weight gain was a combination of stress from ttc and the fear that I wasn't eating right and I would hurt my baby if I were pregnant. Before trying to conceive I would eat a max of 1000 calories a day - once I started ttc I bumped that up to 1400 so I'd say this is the biggest reason. I would like to try to lose the 20lbs, but then again I am afraid that dieting would hurt the unborn baby. I guess this is silly thinking, but I am silly

I did clomid 2 months, and am on my 2nd IUI this month. I just got on the scale today (ugh) and as I suspected, I've put on a good 10+. I know I've been doing a little emotional eating too, but trying not to do too much and no alcohol for awhile now. So I think mine is some due to sweets, some drugs. I have had to buy 2 different size pants in the last two months. It's a bit frustrating b/c I read that your BMI should be between 20-25 for max fertility, but mine is 27 based on weight (take 703xweight, then divide by your height in inches squared). I've been told not to exercise or diet so it puts me in a bit of a quandry!

I can't guarantee the weight loss is from TTC and meds and stress, but I have put on a lot more weight since I started. It's frustrating! I try not to care as that is not my priority right now, but I do admit it can interfere with my sex drive.

I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one. I have not put on weight in years and as soon as I started on Clomid, I started packing it on.

I have gained more on injectibles than on clomid. It is all going to my belly too....which is different than where/howI normally gain, if I gain.

In the Past Year I have gained about 30 lbs... I use injectables Follistim. But I tend to want to eat alot too because of Stress.

Yep, kind of annoying when you are TTC and gaining weight (whether from fertility drugs or, my hobby, stress eating!). All those folks who know you are trying to get watch and see the ever expanding tummy, wondering, hmmmm, is she ? Nope, just been eatin' too much!! Worst part is when someone asks! oh boy, please Lord let me be one of those ladies who gets preggo, has a healthy baby and then loses all the baby weight by breastfeeding
