I like Ty too. We were tossing around the idea of Tyler and Ty for short.

Yeah I know what you mean about people influencing baby names. I call it ~ good baby names gone bad LOL Gosh when you get to be our age you have know many people. It is hard to find a name that you haven't dated or disliked that person Certain images stick with us. For example I have always liked the name Tia. I knew a blonde blue eyed scandinavian named Tia ~ I had no idea until recently that it is actually a Spanish name!! Talk about opposite impressions. I still like it though. I just hope she doesn't get teased??

Thanks for all the ideas! Keep them coming. I will show the suggestons to my husband

Shelly- I love the name Ryan that is my oldest sons name Ryan Joseph we were going to name Victoria Jackson but to be honest I love my husbands name he just wouldn't consider it. His name is Dean Michael.
We also have Jacob Michael and although this is a popular name he usually does not have more than one other Jacob in his class.

names

If our daughter would have been a boy, we also LOVE the name Connor. If we would ever have a boy, I think we would still go with that name. I also liked the names Aaron or Landen.

Good luck! It's a wonderful problem to have ( trying to figure out a good name) I am happy for you!

Hi Shelly- Just throwing my 2 cents in.....
We are tossing names around and if we have two boys we have decided for sure that one will be named Lucas. The other one we like Cameron, but that is still undecided. (We have plenty of time.) As far as girl names my DH LOVES Avery but I think that is too common. I like more unique names for a girl. I love the name Reese but I still have not convinced DH. I think Tia is such a great name! Very cute! Its funny, when you are having 3, it seems like they need to flow together. I should practice yelling their names out the back door and see how they sound!

lol...when I think of the name Tia I'm reminded of Tia Tequila (sp?). She had a bi-sexual dating show last year and is doing another one this year as well...

she's a really cute tiny girl and I love the name...but I'm stuck with that image of a (tiny flurty bisexual...lol).

It was kinda like those shows "the bachelor/bachelorette" but with a bi-sexual twist to it...it had both guys and girls on there she was dating.

Don't worry, Babysteps, the name from the show is Tila Tequila, not Tia Tequila.

Shelley, sometimes it's hard enough to come up with one name let alone three - my goodness I can't imagine how much time you've spent on this but as your pregnancy comes to a close I'm sure you guys are ready to get the name and identity established. We chose Ethan Matthew because it is a strong Christian name and the meanings behind both names talked of not only the person we hoped he'd be but also spoke of our struggle with infertility. Ethan means enduring, firm and strong while Matthew means Gift of God. We also had Jordan Alexander, Joshua Samuel, and Lucas Andrew on the list. I too like strong names and we were tryinig to stay away from "poplar" names since DH is Josh and I am Jennifer and we both had multiple people in our graduating classes with the same names. But it wasn't until Ethan's name was established that we were given an article showing that both Ethan and Matthew were on the top 10 list of boy's names for 2007.

Yeah, I had a guy tell me the name was hot, maybe he was thinking that too. (Tia not Tila)

The good thing is the shows never last that long and my little ones will not be watching them for many years.....
