Luke is one of my favorites too but it just doesn't go with our last name - it sounds too harsh since we have the same K sound at the end of our name. Of course I am partial to Ty since that is our little guys name :-)!

I also like the name Tia. That is what we called my aunt, since that is what aunt means in spanish. But it is still pretty for a little girl.

I only recently found out that Tia mean Aunt in Spanish. We thought about not going with that name because we were worried that she might get teased by some Spanish girls. Do you think that would be a problem? If that is the cause we thought about going with Tiana....but I like Tia. Am I being unreasonable and setting her up for years of teasing?

I am partial to Ryan because that is what we are naming our boy. I like Simon and Colin as well. My husband has a big british influence since he used to live over there.

Shelley, if you like it, stick with it. It is a beautiful name and really, there is not much kids won't find a way to pick on. Sad, but true.

I love the name Tia and had two friends growing up with that name, neither of which were Spanish and no teasing for what it's worth.

Awe, thank you girls so much. You really put my mind at ease. I will let DH know as well because he was worried about the meaning of Tia and possible teasing. Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up with too much information. Thanks
