Knowing your babies.

OK ladies my little girl is so active and the boy is on the quiet side. She kicks her brother on the head all the time. The poor guy does nothing to defend himself.

My question is does the other baby gets hurt when kicked in the womb??
Also once they are born what have other mommies noticed about the behavior pattern of their babies...does it remain the same?? I mean is the active one in womb active when born??

Maybe all twins have one active and one mellow. My little guy on top I can feel moving all the time, the guy on the bottom just a few times a day. Every ultrasound the baby on top is kicking his brother in the face or resting his feet on his head! I don't think it really hurts though, there is so much fluid and stuff in there both babies are protected. I do keep telling my DH that the one on top is his, I'll claim the sweet one!

Glad am not alone. I was telling my DH that we need to protect this little guy otherwise his sister might take advantage of him. hehe.

He is so sweet though..he is constantly been hit by his sister and he just takes it. I hope this doesn't happen once he is born.

So funny - I think of the same things. I just figure the one getting kicked is going to be so over it by the time he is born that one day he is just going to let his brother have it! And I'm going to tell him he deserves it for the months he spent kicking his brother...LOL

Oh its an interesting topic. My little girl is so active, she always kicks her brother. And the poor guy does nothing.I always thought that she is the most active one. But as now i am around 33 weeks, they started doing non strees test on them. And i found out that all the time movement is been started by the little girl. But he is the one who moves more than her and i always though it was her who is moving like crazy. The little guy always passes non stress test first. My nurse told me its b/c my little guy is down there near my cervix and head down, and the girl is also head down but she is above him. So I always feel that she is moving but that is not the case. and now thye both are head down , so they both have their feet and hands at the same positiionnthe middle near my belly button. and they both are punching and kicking there. So its really hard to distinguish between their movement. At 33 weeks also i am confused that which one is moving at what time. And the nurse told me every twin mommy think that she knows which baby is moving. But that is not the case. Most of us don't know which one is moving. So i guess those little ones like to play hide and seek with us all the time.and always makes us wonder which one is moving when? and i think they can not hurt each other with the kicks.b/c they have membrane in between if they are fraternal twins. I am not sure about the identical twins.

Ditto what Sheela said - I thought I was only feeling the girl all the time and that the girl was beating up on the boy but when we went to our 3-D ultrasound and finally saw a shot with the two of them together they are really just punching and kicking and rolling all over each other - one of them didn't seem to be dominant. There is a membrane separating them that they showed us they were punching against but then they showed them hugging and holding hands before they showed her kicking him in the head to get him to move. I can't tell the difference in movements at all now because I really have no clue where they are - I thought they were one on left side and one a little higher on right side but they are still small enought that they are kind of all over the place!!!

Ohh these little guys are so cute. Can't stop talking about them all the time. I guess you all are right since they have a membrane between them they can't really hurt each other.

kensbaby93, you are right my little boy is a gentleman.

You know I went shopping the other day and I found this outfit that said "Mommy's new man" and I thought that is so true.

I don't have twins but I can say that Ethan is the same now that he's born that he was in the womb, very laid back most of the time but he's a restless sleeper. He does like to stretch a lot and that's what I felt in the womb, not so much kicks and jabs but stretching. I love hearing these twin stories though!
