Round Ligament Pain

Ouch! This is not fun.. I heard about round ligament pain, but this hurts. Dr. said it's normal, and that it can hurt pretty bad. I had u/s and the baby looks great. He is proud to be a boy! Dr. said we can paint the room blue! I don't know about that, but I might go ahead and get that Vera Bradley blue and brown baby bag that I want!

I had round ligament pain almost right from the begining of my pg until around 5 or 6 months it even hurt to have an u/s. I scared my poor friend when she gave me one and sometimes ended up doubled over when someone would touch my belly or I would move the wrong way. I was so worried and my dr. kept saying the same thing yours does and in this case he was actually right. I have not had anymore problems with it in quite a while and I am able to move quite a bit more freely LOL now I have other aches but nearly as bad. Good luck to you and your baby.

I too have been experiencing round ligament stretching/pain since I was about 6 weeks...this Wednesday I was actually in the dr office for an emergency visit because the pain was sharp and stabbing and lasted longer than most times...come to find out I felt the first kicks from my twins and they were attacking me in the same area as my stretching ligaments...lol...lil boogers...

Dr. did internal to check cervix, hooked me up to contraction monitor and did U/S and said all was good....I am just growing rapidly...as are my babies...and now they kick...its all part of the game he said...he also said by 5-6 months it should get better...I am one week shy of 4 months and hope he is right

Best of Luck!!

It does hurt and today seems worse for me. Tylenol and heating pads is about it. Taking a hot bath and wearing pants that aren't tight seems to help too. These pants today are not working out for me. I think that's making it worse. Did you find out what you're having??

That and the sciatic nerve pain (spelling) suck. I sometimes have to stop walking from my parking garage to work because it catches me off guard!
