Smile Woo Pig Sooie!

I just had to show off a picture of Caroline and her daddy on the day of the first Arkansas Razorback game! Caroline and I didn't go to the game today, but Daddy did. It's just too soon for me to leave her for more than an hour or two. We would have been gone for several hours, including tailgating, and I just couldn't do it yet. The next home game is in 3 weeks, so I'm pretty sure I'll work up the nerve by then. Plus, I'm craving a grilled hotdog and a BEER! We have a great tailgating spot, and don't want to waste it! (We pay good money for it every year!)

I love this picture...too SWEET!!

I grew up a block from the stadium in University Heights. My mom is still there and feeling rather anxious about the game tonight as people are always trying to park in her yard, etc. I didn't realize you were in Arkansas. We live in Rogers and my husband works in Fayetteville...I work in Springdale. That's crazy!

She looks adorable in her outfit. What fun you will have taking her to the games. If your into baseball, you really can't beat going to the Naturals either. It's a pretty good time all around. There are LOTS of kids there.

Hi, it's great to see some Arkansas folks on here. I live in Springdale. We're not really hog fans but enjoy watching them on T.V. MrsWog, just curious who your RE is. We are seeing Dr. Prough in Tulsa. That is a precious picture.

No way Mrs. Wog, I didn't know you lived in ARKANSAS.

I actually saw your picture the other day and thought...wow she looks so familiar. I was tempted to ask if you lived nearby.

I know I've seen you before!!! Are you or DH military. I wonder if we've bumped into each other before and didn't even know it.

i miss living in TX it was football country. When I was in high school the weekly game could be heard out of my window and If I creaned just right I could catch a few plays on the nights my mother insisted I could not go to the game.

Holy cow girls!!! I never knew there were so many out there from AR!! I live in Fort Smith (been here 9 years), but I grew up in Springdale and my mom/stepdad still live there. DH and I met at the U of A in 1996, and he used to be an assistant basketball coach at Fayetteville HS.

My RE was Dr. Blackwell in Tulsa, but Dr. Prough actually did my ER and ET. Both of them were wonderful, but Dr. Prough was more my "style"...very chatty and comforting.

Neither DH nor I are in (or have been in) the military, but I'm always being told that I look very familiar. I really think I'm one of those people who has a familiar face. I have very "common" features, I guess!

So glad to hear from all y'all AR girls!! For those of you in S'dale or close by there, did you graduate from S'dale?? I did in '95...

MrsWog, thanks for your response about your RE. I really like Dr. Prough. I hope we have success with him when we do IVF. My DH and I moved here about 4 years ago but have gotten to know some people that grew up here. Do you know Stacy Fuchs(I'm not sure what her maiden name was I think it's Pamaticci(sp)) and Meaghan and Heather(they are sisters, again I don't know their maiden names. What a small world.

Erin,
I remember Stacy's name...maybe we graduated together...but I didn't know her. Our graduating class was well over 500, though, so there were a LOT of people I didn't know! I'm not sure if I remember sisters named Meagan and Heather...but I might have. It's amazing what a small world it is! I have found more people I know through the blogging world. Check out our blog some time...there's a link in my signature!

Oh NO...not OU fans! j/k

DH and I went to Babies R Us in Tulsa about 2 weeks before I was due, and he was SO worried that I would go into labor and have to give birth in Oklahoma! He's got a little OK-prejudice, I guess! lol He says it's enough that she was conceived in OK, but he didn't want her to have an OK birth certificate! I guess it's just a little friendly interstate competition!

Good luck Hanan! Keep in touch with us AR girls!!

Question

Hanan,

Did you originally go to the clinic in LR? Are you considering going to Tulsa? We really liked it there, and obviously found success there as well! Just curious!

Jennifer, YES we went to the LR clinic! Jessica had good luck with them, but not so much, as you can see with my signature! I had thought to look in to OK-not sure the success rate for someone in my age group! But a lot of changes have happened for me personally and have lost a lot of weight still have a lot to go... So who knows if and when we will do our next cycle, but hopefully before the end of the year... Can you post the link to your clinic? So I can look at the site.

That is too funny what your DH said about OK and being conceived there but not or at least hoping not to be born there!!!

BTW Caroline is absolutely adorable!!! Also, I am up in your area every so often, I will let you know the next time I am up that way...

Hanan, thanks for your words of encouragement. I am trying to stay positive too. I have had several friends here that have gone to Tulsa Fertility Center and have had great success Just like MrsWog. I have 2 friends that got pregnant doing IVF and one that did IUI. They all had nothing but great things to say about them. That is where I am going now and am very happy.

Jennifer, I didn't realize how big Springdale HS was. There was only about 90 in my graduating class so I knew everyone. My DH and I are both Auburn grads so we are Tiger fans (WAR EAGLE). Maybe the Hogs will grow on us eventually :-) Your blog is great. Love the pictures of your little one. She is so precious and such a blessing.

Erin, I truly know how hard it is to take a few steps forward, and then have to step back to get your health (body) back on track. I can tell you that you will see very soon, that with the removal of the cyst, you will feel TEN TIMES better about everything, your b/w numbers will improve (even though they are good now) and you will be able to continue with the next steps... I know you can do this! The goal is to continue to get healthy so you and DH can have a sibling for your lil girl, who BTW is very pretty!!!

Let all of us AR girls keep in touch! This to me personally would mean a whole lot!!!

I will look into the clinic that all of you are going to... I think my DH might be more willing to travel to OK rather than TX...

H.

Jennifer - my step-dad's boss sent us a Baby Razorback bib, it is so cute. My dad is a huge Razorback fan, so he will love it! I haven't lived in Arkansas in a few years, I guess I have forgotten how big U of A football is. I hope you get to go to a game soon.
