Hi

Jolie,
glad they were able 2 slow the contractions down, I know it was scary, u here others talk about preterm labor but never expect it 2 happen 2 u. Just take it easy and try 2 rest so Myles and Madden can continue to grow and get stronger. Hugs 2 u

Joline, the docs are real good at prolonging your pregnancy as much as they can. I had cervix softening and contractions and they prolonged it 4 more weeks. The pre-eclampsia was what delivered our girls early, so who knows how much longer they could have stopped the contractions. Try not to worry too much, take it easy and I'm sure your little one's are doing great!

Oh, btw, I see your little one's names also start with "m." When I was pregnant, we didn't want to reveal the names to family until they were born. So, they had the nickname M&M twins and everyone had fun trying to guess the names. So, now, we like to find M&M collectables for the girls. I LOVE the names you picked out!

I am like the others sorry you are on bedrest. I did it for 9mos w/ my back and it was horrid!!!! However, at least at the end of yours you get a great big gift. I am really glad the contractions stopped. Hope that you have none and can still enjoy your shower. Have you thought of renting a wheelchair that way you could be wheeled to the party and not ever have to get up (especially since you're around the corner).

New

Hi girls,

I'm new here. Just got our yesterday!!

My first beta was 1151 and tomorrow is my second. Anyone know if that number is twins more likely or not?

Also, I noticed people look like they are finding out genders here early with anatomy scans and things...stuff that I don't remember being available last time with my daughter. Would anyone mind explaining how those things work and how much they cost etc?

Thanks! I hope to become a permanent member here soon!
that tomorrow's beta rises appropriately!

Angela

Jo, I just saw this. I am so happy that you and the babies are OK. I am sorry about the bedrest, but it is better than the alternative of delivery at this point. I am praying for you and take care of yourself.

Hey Joli!

You know I can totally relate! Be thankful that they were able to stop the contractions and hold those boys in for a while longer. Get ready to memorize every commercial on TV, I know I have LOL. We high risk mommies have to do whatever it takes to cook our little bundles for as long as possible. If you get bored, you can hit me up anytime! I've got all the time in the world.
