Ob told me exactly the same thing as you the other day re: fetal monitering etc. :-) I have been doing all my shots on the arms 3x day ( all pre meals, short acting). Yes, I do get tiny bruises on the arms. sometimes those needles are just so blunt. I really couldn't pinch anything on my tummy :-( and too scared to! Have you tried thighs?

Re: eating too much when bG goes way down is my problem too and then it just shoots upto 200s :-( I should be more careful about that too. I have such a long way to go.

wow, I can't believe you really have only few more weeks to go. you must be so excited ! I can't wait to hear how it all goes for you. Good luck with everything.

I think everyone is different and it depends on how aggressive your caretakers are. Here are my numbers..
Morning before breakfast 5 units fast acting
Lunch-none
Dinner before 6 units fast acting (recently increased from 5)
Bedtime 39 units intermediate acting (this is the one that increased every day till morning numbers were good)
I am in the countdown now...hopefully anytime now...so I am not sure my numbers will increase any more.

vin - they told me i can only use my stomach. it hurts sometimes and i can barely pinch any part. it's getting harder and harder. my blood sugar dropped really low this morning, not sure why, i did everything like i normally do, and i was good and only had a cup of milk, waited 15 minutes and it was where it should be. that is so hard, because you get so hungry and want to scarf down anything in sight! we had a growth u/s yesterday and our little guy is already 6lbs 2oz..and his tummy is measuring a little bit big. i have an ob appt tomorrow and we will see what he says. i am measuring a little over 2 weeks ahead.

tracy - WOW..you are definetly ready, if not already having your baby! how exciting for you...good luck to you!!

Thanks for replying, Tracy. You are in a home strech now. Wishing you a safe and quick delivery :-)

mery, it sucks that you have to only use stomach (but not for too long, now, think of it that way) hmm...on a.m. levels being low inspite of regular meal . Did you eat the night time sanck little too early last night causing more gap in time between that and BF? Re: baby's weight, it sounds like a good weight at this time. Don't worry, you seem to have done good so far. What does big tummy mean? Does it have to do w/GD? Let me know what your OB says (if it's related to GD). so are you now 35 wks? How much weight did you gain post GD? (sorry, if you don't mind me asking)Take Care.

AFM, as much as my levels are much better now than they were before they still do vary. I wish they'd just platau (sp?) a bit. I am doing the best I can with meal plans and food groups but I do slip sometimes . ahh....
