I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. It scared me too as I'm pregnant with twins also. I'm so glad I got my vaccine last week since there is such a shortage in this area. Apparently we are even low on Tamiflu in this county so children aren't always getting it when they go to the clinics with H1N1 but the pregnant women are. The woman who died at my hospital had a dose of Tamiflu but it was too late and she went into respiratory failure right after delivery. The babies are testing negative thankfully and are going to be fine. After all the talk of the H1N1 that started up in April, you would think we would be more prepared. It's absurd.

My perinate gave us a PX for tamiflu so I have some in my pantry ready if needed, she said that she didn't think there would be a shortage, but that docs. were giving it out to people who didn't need it and she wanted to make sure those of us that might have it. We told her we would hold on to it incase we don't need it for other patients too ~ Congrats on having twins too!!!!! I need to check your DD!
