Bella Bands so soon?

I'm just 5 1/2 weeks right now, but after the b/c pill and shots (and stress-eating!) from the IVF cycle, I've already gained about 8 pounds and am completely bloated all the time. I went ahead and moved up in some pants from an 8 to a 10, but I can't stand not being able to wear all my "old" clothes so soon into this. I found out about the Bella Bands last night, and have already ordered 2!

Did anyone else have to do this so soon into pregnancy? I feel like I'm already bigger than I would be if I'd just gotten preggers naturally, b/c of all the "junk" I've been through.

(p.s. I almost got stabbed with the big safety pin I tried to use for my khakis today! (LOL) I immediately got online and ordered the Bella Bands, and then managed to rig something up with a rubber band!)

My jeans felt uncomfortable at the waist early as well. It is totally to be expected with the bloating and enlarged ovaries we are left with...not to mention the baby.

I am wearing a lot of yoga pants...super comfy.

I bought a bella band last week too. I have gained so much weight ( dr.'s orders) and the bloating is crazy so I decided to get one. It is great!

I noticed the bloating early on too, lucily the way I am built I have to buy pants that fit my legs and they are always big in the waist. By 10 weeks though I started wearing maternity pants--soo much more comfortable!!!!

I have gained 17lbs since the start of this IVF and I am only 11 weeks!!!! Part of it was because they made me give up exercise before IVf this time and I LOVE TO EAT!!! So yes, my clothes didn't fit early on. I still have a few pairs of pants that will pass, but I have to wear maternity jeans.

The Bella Band is STILL my best friend when it comes to being comfortable. I started wearing mine around five or six weeks with my maternity clothes. I use my Bella Band to help support my belly too, as it kind of gives me a lift. Wearing one in my profile pic!!

i love the bella bands too and wear one almost every day. i'm kind of an in-betweenie right now because don't need full-on maternity clothes, but my regular pants are getting soooo uncomfortable. i just got 2 super cute, comfy pairs of maternity pants at target (the liz lange collection) - and they were cheap! very cute, look like 'normal' clothes. if you get tired of bella bands, check them out.

Wrs Wog, I'm so glad you asked about this. I thought i was making things up. I am very little girl, so even if i eat big meal you could tell (lol). Now that I'm 6+weeks pregnant with two huge cysts on my right i look bloated (the worse scenario) even though i don't feel like it. My old tops are fitting me fine, but none of my pents would zip up. The only pents i can get into are my pyjamas. When i go out i try to pull the zipper as high as possible(buttoning is out of question). And when i seat the zipper must slide down. I will definitely start looking into buying Bella Belt very soon here.

I had to start of on maternity early because of bloating due to my OHSS. Bella bands are extremely comfy and also the trousers which Hannah has mentioned...DH bought two of them for me on his trip to US...one underbelly and one over the belly...the underbelly one is very comfortable as it acts like a secure band too! Overbelly one is not for me...have ordered some more as i am expanding by the day!

Have a look at this website for ideas:

I started wearing bella bands at 6 1/2 weeks and have worn them daily ever since! Today I finally bought some maternity pants though because my pants won't zip at all anymore and I was getting tired of constantly adjusting my clothes. The bella bands are a lifesaver during those early weeks!

Jennifer--It's definitely not too early! I was also mullling over this same fact a few weeks ago. I have been wearing all of my pants unbuttoned with Bella Bands these past couple of weeks and things have worked great...but I now know I need to move on to matenity pants. I'm going to the mall to buy some this morning (looking for pants just like those Evita posted above!!) Glad you bought the Bella Bands--they're awesome!
