With my first son I really didn't feel him for sure until 21 weeks...it felt like twinges to me too. With my 2nd son it was much sooner...16 weeks. This is so exciting for you

I felt the first movements at about 12 weeks. It just felt like a really light tap. Now, I am 5 foot 120lbs at this point so there was no room for her to really hide and she liked to be stretched out through the whole pregnancy. The big movements started around 20 weeks, that is when the flips were starting.

I've been having a hard time differentiating between gas bubbles and baby flutters from 17-19 weeks. OB says it probably IS the baby. I just hit 20 weeks today, and in the last few days, I KNOW the flutters are the baby for sure.

Earlier in my pg around (14 wks), one of my nurses recommended I lay on my tummy to see if I can feel it. It didn't work at first, but by 17 weeks or so, I could if I tried really hard. I was worried about squishing the baby, but she assured me it wouldn't get squished. Try it!

Mine was just this week! Its seems like every day I feel the baby move more and more! Its so exciting! Last night for the first time my husband was able to feel the baby also. Not much but just a couple of movements. Its was a great feeling. It all seems so real right now!

i love reading everyone's first experiences with this. it's such a huge moment. last night, i was laying on my bed and had my hand on my stomach... i felt this little tickling inside that just felt like a finger was tickling me from the inside. i have never felt anything quite exactly like that - so i think that may have been him! like many of you said - until it gets more frequent, i probably won't feel sure that is what it is.
